Started later then desired :blush: but evidently it was wet so didn’t matter.
Seeing the stars the night previous had me a bit worried!Kato3 and I.
Rode from pines along the single north to the fire trail that then heads WSW down into the creek, followed that along then off left to the first enjoyable hill of the day.
Had slight stuff up towards the bottom but made it up to the business part of this hill.
Got very close but no cigar. I had several attempts but the last tiny slipper lip at the top stopped me :blink:.I watched Kato’s excellent bike aerobatics with much delight :laugh: we then proceeded back down with tails between our legs.
Back onto the creeky fire trail west then right into an enjoyable little single with a very nice test piece.
Here is where I saw what is quite possibly the best motorcycle aerobatics I’ve seen on a ktm :blink: :woohoo:. Kato balls this up on a couple of attempts then preceded to one wheel around a tree then shoot up this rock like he was David Knight!
:woohoo: Excellent!Then from there west down into the farming sort of area where we proceeded up a hill which I’ve previously been down on Murph’s basin run. This was extremely enjoyable also and in the dry I’m keen to return to attempt jumping a log I went around today.
Then from there back to cars to refuel.
Then off into the single from pines south where we soon ran into Joe who joined up for this part of the ride :woohoo:. We went the singles through to Muirs then NNE from there down the hill .
Eventuallyand west along some fire trail then back onto a very nice single proceeding to the most hilarious and enjoyable part of the ride rock climbing up the ridge.
I made it cleanly up :blink: :woohoo: the first difficult part of this hill followed by Joe. Kato went the wrong line and had to be assisted.
This lead to the best part where it was into a sharp left to square up a very cool ledge to the top.
Joe and I went this way but Kato was a little gun shy given his previous moto aerobatics and went a different way with assistance.
Then slowly back to Muirs where we said goodbye to Joe.
We then proceeded back to the cars for the final time and left.Best ride I’ve had in a long time, extremely enjoyable and rivalling motos head vs dunes ride in hilarity! (thanks and sorry Kato :laugh:)
