Pink Slip

Hey,

Im putting the call out if there are any mechanics out there that can slip me by with my Pink slip. I Never ride on the road so mirrors are useless as well as rear indicators… Usually I put the rear indicators on aswell as that big bloody black numberplate holder but I am honestly over it now. Its like a bloody hassle everytime the Pink slip is due. Anyone know of anyone or got any hints? Ofcourse other than leave everything on lol.

When I was in your situation I used to trailer the bike to the garage with all the bits in a box and simply tell them that I can put them all of if required, but as soon as I get the pink slip I would take it all off again and see what they say. If they say do it, I just go to the next garage until one says no worries.

I would say go buy a set of mini blinkers and a db LED tail light of ebay then buy the folding trail mirror and bob is your uncle

Not posting your location isn’t helping matters. Judging by the people posting it sounds like your Coffs way?

Take it to your bike dealer, they’ll probably do it for you. Mine did my pinkslip every time without any issues and no mirrors, indicators etc. The bigger bike shops in the centre of Coffs will probably be alright. Also, if you ask Fez nicely he may tell you where he got his bike done.

Hell I just got a bike through a Blue slip without any of that.

My rego runs out on the XR at the end of this month so I hope my mechanic is ok .Last year I had no mirrors and SHE said it would be ok. SHE just put a note on the paperwork, this time I have no indicators or mirrors so we will see what SHE says.I thought that I should take it down to her on the trailer too this time oh yeah my mechanic is a hot asian bird so maybe that helps :ohmy:

You got it, im in the Hornsby area. I needed my blue slip last year so like many of you say, I put the bike on the trailer and went out to Greenacre. Was told about this really dodgy Mechanic and low and behold he passed me haha. Don’t really want to venture out there again for my Pink Slip though. May take it to a local mechanic who hopefully knows nothing about Bikes.
