Pegs are way underated in the realm of bike control, i already knew this but wasdriven home with me recently, my CR250s both had wide aftermarket pegs, then I had excellent wide grippy pegs on the KTM, however the YZs’ pegs suck bad, very old school, short, fairly narrow in comparison to others and my feet are constantly slipping, I have filed them but basically they suck.
So I too will be watching out for your considered conclusions Mr Trailboss Sir, particularly on the ease of gearchange/braking ability and steep hillclimbs with the pivot function

Mr Blue 250, not to be confused with a Blue 125

At a Trailride at Coffs Harbour earlier this year,Zippo’s TM shat itself so he was loaned a WR250R, the WR was fitted with pivot pegs and that afternoon we asked Zippo what he thought of them and he replied that he didn’t even notice the bike had them and didn’t notice anything different.
I wonder if he knew he was riding on them he would have noticed then?

That would have be because he was on a different bike, the whole bike would be new so he wouldnt notice the difference whilst getting used to the whole package.

I to will be watching, as I like the idea of someone, a normal guy that pays for his stuff doing a review, as he pays for his stuff or has always paid for his stuff he can remember how it hurts to spend his own money. His opinion would be far more, let’s say likely to say the hard truth then say someone that is worried where his next freebie is coming from.
TB has been around long enough and done enough that his opinion would have to be worth something. Besides if they stand up to him and the amount of riding the big fella does I know then I can flat land a 432ft jump with a double decker bus on my back and they will hold up, go forth and test fatty!

PS Mr Blue dog, you would not know if a bus was up you, even when the passengers started getting out!

    Good Morning all

Mmm good morming Mr Squirrel, I still think you’re a wascally little fellow with good intentions, and i for one would like to see you jump 131.6736 metres, with or without the Doulble decker bus.

Mr Blue (a herding dog apparently, ah well there are worse things to be in the tree of life)

Ollie has a set on his gasser, took a bit of getting use to i thought, although ionly rode his bike for a short while. Not sure if they are for me, but worth a look at, Ollie seems to like them as he took them off the WR for the Gas Gas!

Yeah like em I do,not only for the bling factor, they help me control the bike, The only negative I can think of is sometimes they are a bit to grippy like when you need to get your foot down in a hurry,

I’m interested in these too. I have seen a few good riders sporting these now and wonder how they go. I sit down most of the time I ride so I think their operation will effect me less than most who stand-up more.

It’s great that OBT can get this sort of stuff to test for us guys to see what we think. Good onya Pivot Pegz for giving a set as a prize for the Christmas party.

    I’ll buy a set if I like them :)
