March 4, 2009 at 1:11 am #124834Yeah but you then made a mockery of the whole thing and ruined my negotiations
up until then I reckon I had ECKS in the bag
March 4, 2009 at 1:21 am #124835Oh TB, you sucker! Need to get up pretty early in the morning to try that one on me mate!! Fair dinkum offers will be considered, otherwise don’t waste my time – I can do that myself for free!
March 12, 2009 at 5:24 am #118631Gidday all,
Ive finally done some riding on the new pegs and im more then happy with them, only thing i did was move the gear lever up but may be from new boots also…I find standing up i notice the most difference i can shift my weight around the bike better more so when jumping…One thing with them but its just me is at low speed standing up i keep my foot over the gear lever and if you back of quick they pivot forward and i hit the lever and change down so you just about hit the front guard with your helmet peak its funny to everyone that see’s you  …All in all great value and would recommend to anyone….Thanks guys, Fathead and Pivot Pegz
Cheers
March 16, 2009 at 10:49 pm #125554I removed my Pivot pegs and rode this weekend without them. Frankly I didn’t notice that much difference, other than I now have a habit of putting my feet on the pegs and not shuffling them around like I used to. I found I can still pivot my boots on the stock pegs if I put my feet a bit further forward than I used to, so that the heel of the boot sits on the peg. Otherwise, I felt a lot more stable on the bike with the stock pegs, which inspires confidence, which helps with riding.
So best of luck to the purchaser, thanks for the kind offer of buying the pegs, especially since I understand they are not actually for you!
So there ya go, Pivot pegs are not for everyone. I didn’t hate them, but they didn’t make enough difference for me to think they were worth keeping on the bike.
March 16, 2009 at 11:22 pm #126073Thanks ECKS,rest assured they are going to a bloke that will get a ton of use out of them. A fitting reward for a job well done by RiderX.
Cheers

AnonymousThere was bound to be people that didn’t like them. Before I got them I thought there would actually be more. I don’t stand alot but still find them good and I’m sure would reduce fatigue.
I had a 2 month break between riding with my standard pegs and the Pivot Pegz though so mine isn’t the most direct comparison. I’m happy with them though, and at the end of the day that’s all that counts. Everyone needs to be happy with their bike, as ECKS said, it all helps with confidence and that ultimately makes you ride better.
March 17, 2009 at 12:24 am #126083Unless your confidence outweighs your abilities. Then you have a problem.Just watch me ride for an example.

March 17, 2009 at 5:23 am #126089I move around on my bike alot, so I am now officially going to marry my pivot pegs:blush: I even found while I was teaching Mini-me race starts that getting my weight forward was easier and I only muffed up once while monoing…was a very very close call number plate got bent and all, I think I shifted my weight too quickly because of the pegs as the wheel found traction, so i will have to learn to compensate for that a bit.
Positives far out weigh any negatives for me.
Again this was a brilliant purchase, right up there with suspension mods… thanks ladies

Now wanted by the austrian military for defaming their tanksMarch 17, 2009 at 5:35 am #126099That would be big of you Bruce, wouldn’t it, marrying the Pivots? I’m not into bigamy myself…
Glad that others like them – it made mine easy to sell!! 😆
Spewing though, I now have to find a new way to get the lint out of my belly button…
March 17, 2009 at 5:55 am #126102Currently I believe it is illegal to actually marry an inanimate object or two even, but hell when did being legal ever stop me???
Q-what is “bigamy”
A- one wife too manyQ2-what is monogamy?
A2- exactly the sameWatch me duck and weave now….
I still love my pivots, better than roc-stompers and even better than “footpeg extenders”
