Well finally got the chance to get out and try the newly fitted pivots, here’s my thoughts.
Bling, bling, bling -very shiney and the other riders noticed them straight away
They felt a little strange at first, :S worked out that shifter and break lever need to be adjusted.
After about 1hr, I had forgotten all about them -felt like they have always been there
felt way comfy on uphills standing, easy to rock forward and get over the bars, did stop me from pulling up on the bars a little as well :woohoo: ( I know i shouldn’t do this but it is hard not to)
Good for popping front wheel over obstacles, just roll back and give it some
Best thing is that it reduced ankle soreness. The day after the ride i usually have a little soreness, but not after this ride. We did 240ks, so was happy with result. I think less fatigue will be the best result of installing pivots, which means, more riding, for longer. 😆
I think I will try adjusting both foot levers down a little more so that when I am in standing position my feet can b straight and to do any work just roll on the pegs ( this is prob what they are meant for)
ALL IN ALL, 1 happy convert, thanks to pivot pegs, Mick, and OBT.
