Playing in the mud at Labortouche

Ok went for a ride very early Sunday morning with 6 other riders. 2 off were riding new bikes for the first time. We all meet at the BP just past Pakenham at 7.15am and headed out to the trailbike car park at Labortouche. We all got ready at hit the tracks buy 8.00am up the notorious first hill can be dificult even when dry, we got 7/8 of the way up it we could get over the last bit the four wheeled mud monsters had been down it and the mud was that deep we could not get through so we had to back track back to another track. It was the omen for the day everywhere we went was thick slippery mud, what a hoot

The bog holes were deep and full of water in some cases up to the bottom of our seats.

We did around 60K’s for the morning and we all had a ball, we all had a few off’s but no damage to either bike or rider.

Allot to the tracks have been closed for the winter period so we had to find some different ways back to the carpark.

I only took a few photos of the first bog hole we had to go through. This was one very steep slipery sucker. I didn’t get any more photo’s after that because me and my riding gear were coverd in sh*t from there onwrads. :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

i went up there for a slip and slide in the 4bee last monday. nearly got stuck a few times in the slop. my car is filthy and im too wounded to wash it :laugh:

Mate….the Pirelli’s where awsome, I have not found anything they won’t grip on, Mud, Rock faces, loose rock, sand, clay they just seem to hang on.

I went well I did have one nice off on an off camber up hill corner where I did a nice 360 and was left sitting on my arse in laughter.

I’m a bit worried about the Vic arm of Old Bulls, I think I’m the only one riding at the moment. Dave was with me but I can’t get him to join, he has no idea on how to use a computer and won’t even try. He sent me his first text mesaage the other day from his phone but his wife had to show him how to do it.

Hey Menace these guys I went out with can ride they are all around the same age as me give or take 1 or 2 years and have been riding for over 30 years, except for the 2 young ones.

Dirty Dave was with me on his new WR250 he just got. the others are all from the darkside, KTM450, KTM300 fu#@ing orange sh@t everywhre :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

All I could think off while on the ride was about how much fun you would of had if you were there

Tried calling you a few times yesterday I was going to pop in for a coffee. If you are not doing anything on Saturday come over and I will was your fourby for you.

We are going out again in a couple of weeks, I have got most of the area on my gps now.
