We all arrived at the meeting point about the same time and drove into the forest to park and unload. I met Polly400 for the first time and it was good to catch up with Dude again. Tryhard and Gavb were the other starters.
We took off down a bit of a hill to get into the swing of things
GavB

Moved onto open singles and then tighter singles
Bit of a step up

http://i703.photobucket.com/albums/ww36/lotsasbucket/110226%20pokolbin/PIC_0005.jpg%5B/IMG%5DGavb,“I’m sure there was a track here years ago”, did some exploring on foot.

I found a kangaroo track to go down which lead nowhere so we went back up to the main road

Gave B offered us a lift up the hill in his new car

We hit the singles again

Then to a lookout for a break

There were a few more loops of singles which I think were the best of the day and back to the cars where Gavb put on an aerial display

Then off to Kearsley pub just in time for a counterie and a drink.
cheers

February 26, 2011 at 12:29 am #197318Trails DRY , thus a tad dusty. ( NO MUD)

Weather cool morning but warmed up towards midday.

A few more pictures of our ride today.
After a big downhill to wake us all up and some other good singles it was time to do a little bit of explorin
Our tour guide Lotsa & his trusty accomplice
found this nice looking bit of untracked bush.:silly: :silly:
It is a shame that cameras tend to destroy the true slope perspective:(

Lotsa & Tryhard went down this hill only to find a dead end
Some pics of the retreat
Tryhard:woohoo:
LotsaB)

We managed to abort the attempt at pushing in a new trail.

Rode more singles & found some lookouts:)

Dude being a tourist:unsure:

View across the wineries to Cessnock.
No this was not really an adventure ride!!
About midday we all were pretty much done.
Back to the cars to pack upHere is where GavB gave us an expression session:)

He did some neat jumps with little goadingPSyching Up

Opps bad camera person – Gav with no head – great air

Much better attempt

A good ride, Thanks to our ride leader Lotsa and our sweeper GavB
February 26, 2011 at 1:41 am #197319Hey guys, thanks for another great day out.
Its nice to ride somewhare a little different & the group flowed together nicely. That first down hill goes for ages with plenty of ruts and rocks to keep you on your toes. The views were awsome from the cilffs. We tryed to start the old commodore but I think the fuel might have gone off or it may have been the melted carby or something. It was getting warm towards the end so the beer and burger at Kearsley were a treat.
Havnt been on the 450 much lately, so it was good to blow the cobwebs out. What a good bike it has soo much omph compared to the adventure bike.
Had a ballCheers Gav
February 26, 2011 at 10:56 am #197320Brings back memories. We used to live at the vineyard 4th piccy from the bottom. Some great trails around that neck of the woods.
