After a load of really great riding on my trusty old tractor (some trouble free 5200 ks) I came to a cross road.

Two years ago when I signed up to be an Old B ( some folk say that I have been one for ever) DRZ’s were like bums, everybody had one.  :laugh:Slowly but surely the migration has been happening and being part of the DRZ clan became being an oddity.
So
So
I came back to a majority and have acquired a shiny new KTM350 EXC.

After a few test outings on the Kato I think it will take some time to gain the knowle.. skil…determin… guts to ride the new stead like the ol tractor..
Summing up the DRZ . great reliable bike, never let me down & easy to take care of. :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
KTM to start at least 25 KG’s lighter and “ready to race” 👿 👿 👿
Here is a few pics

Adam.
February 26, 2013 at 5:09 pm #237315Look what you’ve started Adam. Now we will never get around him. Lol. That’s looks sweet Polly.
I know that you are only doing this to get back at the likes of menace or who ever it was that roosted you and broke your tooth.
Sad to say but I know my bike will have hail damage on the front from your rear tyre.
I won’t be on my own there. :S Bring it on though Polly I look forward to the screaming. :silly:February 26, 2013 at 7:32 pm #237320Very nice Polly. The biggest thing I found when I changed was getting used to keeping the revs a bit higher. When I first rode the Husaberg 550 I kept stalling it because I was riding it in the low rev range like the old DRZ, even now with the WR450 which I have been riding for over 12 months I find I still stall it quite often in tighter going for the same reason.
February 26, 2013 at 8:23 pm #237329I have a tear in my eye Polly. Welcome to club Kato.
Lord Kato will be happy with your wise decision.
Congrats. I’ll now have to commit to a weekend in March to ride with you and the nundle crew.
February 26, 2013 at 8:31 pm #237330Did you get the optional seat recliner option along with the picnic table and outdoor setting?
February 26, 2013 at 8:38 pm #237331Don’t they look pretty when brand new. :woohoo:
Come out on one of our rides and we’ll see if we can put a few scratches on her

I’m sure you’ll be happy with it.
Cheers

February 26, 2013 at 11:19 pm #237337Nice ride Polly. At least when you round up guts half your age they can blame it on your new bike. It was a bit embarrassing when you did it on the tractor.

Great choice Polly
February 27, 2013 at 12:50 am #237338Hey Polly
All ya need now is a bash plate (not sure if you have one already, too hard to see in the photos)
And piss that silly chain guard off as they tend to fill with crap like sticks, vines and clay.
Happy days
Cheers
