June 28, 2009 at 2:56 am #141513it doesnt matter boys, Adrian is in melbourne and we dont get cheaper rego down here for “little” bikes….
go the kato Ade, you know you wanna, dont fight it;)
June 28, 2009 at 4:30 am #141401didn’t it use to be 599cc in Vicstoneagya, before the CTP price starts to go up?
July 23, 2009 at 9:17 am #141514Menace i all ready know your reply.Ok guys tomorrow is my d day.Do i buy the WR450 or the EXC450.Im leaning towards the WR only because of price. If i buy the Wr by tomorrow i can get it for 11500 rideaway against 13200 for the Kato. Both bikes are far and above more than i would ever need.I know you only pay for something once but im having a lot of trouble seeing what the extra money for the Kato would do to benefit me.I think im going blue.
July 23, 2009 at 9:22 am #145038$11500 for a brand new WR450. You are stealing it, not buying it.
Enjoy.
July 23, 2009 at 9:27 am #145042Both great bikes!! 2 Grand is a lot of beer coupons;)

July 23, 2009 at 9:29 am #145043if you don t need the 6th gear go the blue one its a steal
July 23, 2009 at 9:35 am #141402Whichever one you choose they are both excellent bikes that will both do the same job for you, BLUE is a nice colour tho
July 23, 2009 at 9:36 am #145045I’ve been assured that the rear wheel bearings in all post 2000 YZ/WRs 2T and 4T are a peculiar size, and cannot be purchased off the shelf, which is a bugger cause I’ve usually just gone to the bearing shop or to the workshop at my jobs and got ’em for next to nothing.
I predict the big fella on a larger bore 2T if he buys again.
the Husky 310 is a great unit too, but the 300 is a weapon of 4T destruction.

im not worried what you buy mate…just buy something:laugh:
for 11500, ya cant really say go wrong….
personally, id try to screw the kato dealer first, ya might get lucky?
otherwise, upon defeat, id go to the yammy shop and try getting him to throw in anything the bike hasnt already got on it..(barkys, bashy etc)whatever happens mate, youll be a happy man tomorrow night.
are ya gonna trade the 250 in or sell it private??
July 23, 2009 at 9:40 am #145049I love my little kato 250 but its time to change,i cant justify the extra money .Thanks for your input guys.

Ive tried 4 differant Kato dealers and theres 300 differance in top to bottom prices.Ill let them give me a price on trading the 2fiddy and then ill try to sell it privately.Citywest Yamaha have allready told me they would deristrict the bike for me but ill try for a bashplate and barkbusters before i sign(they come with the kato).
July 23, 2009 at 9:47 am #145046go the yami! great bikes, no valve issues, handle fantastic, do good wheelies! and they’re blue!
