Expression of interest for a short (maybe shorter than planned) ride around our local area
Just going out if I finish my chores over the next couple of days
Have to clear downed trees from home before I start out in the bush
Riding from Buttaba to check out the devastation from the storm
Only be out for a couple of hours

TimApril 23, 2015 at 11:28 am #261692It would be interesting to see what’s come down in the bush
As there is shit everywhere around the streets here
Got a few weeks work with Sam getting trees off peoples roofs
There has been some very unlucky people and some very lucky people, nature doesn’t discriminate
We’ll be busy for a weekend or two I think

Be interesting to see your report

Adam.

Dam not so bad Im guessing
Was wondering how you guys down there paired with water and destruction.April 24, 2015 at 12:08 pm #261713We were lucky, compared to many
Have heard of bad luck stories and (just so lucky stories)
In our yard we had the Red Cedar come down, taking out another smaller trees.
It was disappointing to see a tree that I planted many years ago come down

Hope you all survived the storm, without too much damage
Feeling for those who have lost everything they own.
Feelings go out to those that have lost more than just properties and possessions
Cheers

April 28, 2015 at 10:45 pm #261694Have fun down there Murph…..Living the dream!!
cheers,
nickPS. We were out on bikes during the ‘apocalypse’…. did tuesday & wednesday with Chris Birch, riding from a mates farm at the bottom of maculata… just skills practice, but a loop around woos, whitemans and hitchcocks on wednesday arvo took about 2 hours with all the fallen trees. Despite the crazy weather it was great to ride with such a ledgend, and such a nice guy into the bargain…
May 3, 2015 at 9:24 pm #261729Good onya, Nick
Riding with a class act in Chris Birch :woohoo:
Hoping Tim is going to be out clearing singles while we are in Tasie
He has cleaned up our backyard which had a red cedar blown over, so he should be pretty handy with the chainsaw now
That storm smashed up everything and it will take some time get it organised
Cheers
