This is the first time ever i have done a report and to be asked by the Australia Post Elite Mail Delivery Team to complete one i must say it is an honour and a little intimidating.
Any body who has ridden with or knows Pat understands that he is a young bloke. too young to be pickin on old blokes who he rides with. Ive said it before but here goes again.
This kid brings alot of energy to the table.
Postman Pat prepares to do the rounds.
A trail on the delivery rounds. Theres alot of photos so hope Aus Post isnt going overboard in there public relations campaign
Postman Pat has some carby problems at the top
Apprentice postman “Dale struggles on the mail must be delivered Test Track”
Pats Turn
No Luck Pat
in the famous words of Murph“Back Down”
Take 2 In to the bushes for a nature experience.
More to come later.
October 10, 2009 at 9:31 am #155918another trail on the pat ride.
Dale goin up
Dale comin down
Pat goin up the hard side
yes it is blurry. thats why he was asked to come back down and do it again. he complained and I asked where his commitment to the hivis green was ?take 2

October 10, 2009 at 11:02 pm #155920This is near where Dale parked his van for the ride
seeing it must have thrown Dale off abit cause he had a few lay downs on this hill
Pat decided he wanted to do some exploring on a track.
I told him it was a dead end that no body rides but he decided to go any way.
there is no real track there
after a half hour of listening and waiting to his “Elite Mail Delivery Team” Gas Gas (His words not mine) screaming in the bushes i sent Dale to retrieve him.
this is Dale returning with no sign of Pat. Mind you there is only one track that goes to a dead end ?
then mysteriously Pat returns from the overgrown bush.
where have you been Pat ? He decided to try and make it through to the main road using the snow plow method.October 10, 2009 at 11:09 pm #155921Learnt the hard way not to listen to non postal service blokes, Me: “reckon it’ll rain?” tf2: “nah you’ll be right”
It did in fact rain on the way back. tf2 got wet .Quite a good ride a lot of sniffing around but the stuff found was great.
Also tf2 was broken by a hill, full of excuses of course .
October 10, 2009 at 11:26 pm #155955We rode on doing more singles. We rode down a track were i thought we may be able to do a loop back up to the main track. Hadnt ridden this part of the area before.
This is the start of the track. Pat is keen so once again he heads in. Dont go to far Pat.Just a quick look and come back.
Any how after an hour of listening to the Gas Gas screaming and then going silent in the distance Pat re emurged on the track we had just ridden down. He decided to do the full loop and returned with stories of horror on the trail. Crossing it of his to do list. :laugh:during the hour break Dale and i took turns looking further down the hill and staying vigil by the side of the track. we came across this hill
Once Pat was back with us we decided to have a go at it.
This is Dale triumphantly returning
while Dale was having his turn Pat decided once again to do some exploring on a track to the side. So off he went again
when he returned he had a go off the hill. thats him in the hivis up the top walking his bike to the top.
Dale had enough of the exploring. on his computer we had been riding for 1 hour 45min. We started at 9.30am and it was now 2.30pm. So he leftPat and I headed back to the cars exploring some more. It started raining and was very cold and I lost my Mojo. I think i hit every rut and tree in the singles on the way back making it very frustrating. Pat was on fire at one with his machine and loving every rain soaked moment. This kid is like a wild horse.
The end.
October 11, 2009 at 1:20 am #155922Not bad for a first report tho a lot of the details of your mishaps seem to have gone missing?

AnonymousGood report guys, other than the rain it sounds like an awesome ride. The pics look great too, I’d like to have a go at them hills and see if I can gumby my way up!
Let us know when you’re doing your next one, I’ll try and get bout in November if you’re around. Might even take the new ride out!
October 11, 2009 at 2:57 am #155923That hill will be eating at tf2 so probably won’t be long away .

AnonymousI don’t know where those tracks are but they look sweet! I’ll have to see how I go on the new bike before doing any harder rides on it, i don’t want to scratch it
