    2 posties and boxes of parts went on ebay here locally for less than $200. I think they were both runners and reasonable nick. Ah well.

    I’m hoping its not a compression problem as I just couldn’t be bothered pulling down a postie bike.

    Hey Murph, we had a Z50 that had such low compression that it would only push start and would blowby a smokescreen out the tranny hose.
    I kind of doubt it will be such.
    My brother works with these alot. Sounds to me like a carby issue or even ignition/spark related. Start with the carby.
