AnonymousRide Report – Part 1 The Sleepover
As I said before, what an excellent weekend!
The Saturday night BBQ was great and I think everyone enjoyed each others company. I have to say that Mrs Eagle’s Damper Dip was the star of the night though. It was absolutely delicious! Thanks for posting the recipe Eagle (and thank Michelle too). Michelle was a great sport during the night considering that 90% of the conversation was about bikes (Salina was too but I expect she’s used to it now).
Here’s a photo of the Damper Dip not long after it was put on the table.
And here’s a photo of the Damper Dip 2 minutes later.
TB was a bit elusive when it came to photos over the weekend but we did get one of him contemplating his decision to be a Honda supporter.
Racy Tracy and I then started practicing our dumb looks (mine was better I think).
And yes it does look like TB is happy with his decision to be a Honda supporter.
From the number of empty plates in the next photo I think that tea was a big success (phew!)
Then we started the fire and I think you’ve all seen that effort. DanD just can’t help trying to be just like Moto.
After tea the first round of the Mars Bar slice came out and it went down pretty well.
Overall lots of stories were shared, funny jokes were made (especially about DanD supposedly being under the thumb) and all alcohol was consumed within moderation.
The Eagle family headed home to their nest and then everyone else decided it was time to hit the sack too.
Champo got the pick of the beds though.!
BTW it was great to meet Salina, Michelle and Andrew (we’d already met Ashley on the aborted Denman ride). Salina is one of those people with a shining personality and the Eagle family are an all-round real nice family.

AnonymousMore high lights
Checking racy’s fuel tank this morning to find it nearly half full after riding from Wisemans ferry to Newcastle. And the tank only holds about 7.5L. wtf?
The d’s banquette (I’m stilling going on about that)
Princess d’s trail treats
Using the motion pro t-bars and motion pro t-bar holder that I got for my birthday to get racy’s bike ready for princess d’s adventure ride on time
Having the d’s care package for dinner and now brunch
Not having to wash the bikes (not muddy)
Checking the compression of the elsinore this morning to find it ‘will do’ for the vmx race and therefore having time to dribble this stuff for you

AnonymousI said that if kylied ran a professional ride, racy and I would donate to obt the amount of money a professional tour company would charge.
Sorry but the ride was not very professional
It was better than a professional ride
Thanks Ds
We will transfer the money very soon

AnonymousRide Report – Part 2 The Ride (Morning)
With reports of showers we woke up to sunny blue skies. I had all intentions of getting up early and cooking everyone bacon and eggs but they were all happy to settle with toast :cheer: .
DanD did get up early however and put on his valet cap and turned all the visiting bikes around the right way so they could just head straight on out. He’s such a nice guy!
Jeffro and Eagle arrived nice and early so we headed off a little earlier than anticipated.
The riders for the day were:
TB & Salina – Honda
Champo – Honda
Racy Tracy – Yamaha
DanD – Yamaha
Kylie – Yamaha
GavB – KTM
Tryhard (Joe – although for some reason I kept on wanting to call him Dave?) – KTM
Eagle – Kawasaki
Jeffro – SuzukiYamaha won this ride with 3 bikes :woohoo: .
We headed off towards Freeman’s Water hole where we met up with Tryhard.
Here’s TB and Salina, Eagle and me.
This is all of the bikes at Freemans Waterhole ready to go (except GavB – he met us near Bucketty).
Here are some of the happy travellers.
And here is the stalkers picture of TB taking a picture
We traveled through the Watagans going up Mt Faulk Road with DanD in the lead.
Here is a photo of Jeffro moving along (he makes it look easy). The speed of the NX on the dirt surprised me but then again it was TB so I shouldn’t have been.
We then stopped at the Pines to check mobile phone coverage (?)
Continued out towards the Basin and here’s Eagle doing his stuff.
This photo of me was taken just before my fall off. We have been mucking around with my bikes suspension and DanD made it a little taller for me. So when I hopped back on I threw my leg over a bit hard and went straight over the other side. Oops!
We stopped at a track to watch Champo ride up it (easily) on Tracy’s TTR 230. Then DanD had to prove himself so he went up it (easily) too.
Champo
DanD
Back down
Here’s TB & Salina cruising along towards the Letter A
We then stopped at the Convict Wall near Bucketty and the converging of all the old bulls and um… dare I say, heifers (young cows, girls!) brought a tear to Jeffro’s eyes  .
We stopped for some more Mars Bar slice and I distinctly heard TB say that he will make sure that all of his rides from now on will include home baked snacks.
The girls then huddled to talk about the nearest pit stop.
After the pit stop TB took us out to an old convict bridge. This was a very sandy track that apparently took Tracy out but I didn’t see it.
At the bridge the stalker took another photo of TB.
Here’s me and Jeffro at the bridge
And then came Champo’s blue steel photo
DanD and TB then had a group hug
You can put your own caption to this one. I don’t dare.
Here’s some posers at the bridge
And another one
From the bridge we headed right through to St Alban’s. All was going according to plan including the pushbike race that was being run through St Alban’s common. This was all incorporated into my plan so that we could practice our skills at weaving in between the pushbike riders whilst dodging oncoming cars. All good practice!
We then headed straight on to Wiseman’s Ferry where I had also conveniently made sure that the Bridge to Bridge race was on. This meant that we had to wait a long time for the ferry but this was once again according to plan because I thought it would be nice for everyone to stand around and chat a bit more whilst watching the ski boats on the river. I had even brought along lollies specifically for this part of the trip.
Here we are waiting while Champo and Racy Tracy queue jumped.
Finally we get on the ferry
and GavB does the bike talk thing with a fellow rider.
Well that will do for now. Part 3 The Ride (The Afternoon) will be posted soon.

AnonymousRide Report – Part 3 The Ride (Afternoon)
Here is the last part to the ride report.
After we finally got across on the ferry, we fueled up and headed to Wisemans Ferry pub. And Champo was right, there were heaps of bikes there. We squished all of our bikes in and then ordered our lunch. I think everyone was happy with their lunch and the service for most meals was really quick (considering how many people were there).
Here’s a nice photo of the back of TB’s head and Salina
After lunch someone (Eagle) decided to play a trick on GavB and hid his wallet. After a mad dash inside he came back only to find it back on the table. But then….. just as we finished laughing at this and got ready to go, Racy Tracy realised she had lost her bike key. So we walked back through the pub and then down the street to a shop she had gone into and found that she had dropped it in the shop. Lucky!
We now said fond farewells to TB and Salina and watched them ride into the sunset (not really).
So back on the bikes and we took off towards the Webb Creek ferry to go back to St Albans the other way (the road way).
This one actually has DanD in it
Here we are back on the ferry (GavB was obviously a little bit fatigued by this stage)
Here’s eagle.
And here’s Champo and me fighting for pole position
Here’s some pictures of us on the road between Wisemans Ferry and St Albans
Kylie
Is Champo actually on this bike?
GavB
Racy Tracy and Jeffro
We then headed back through St Albans (minus the pushbike riders) and back up to the Convict Wall. GavB and Tryhard took this opportunity to stretch their legs a little and it sounded like they had a great time. I think Tryhard was wheelying at 125km/hour. Is that right?
On the way though we found out that Jeffro has a dreamtime (except that he misspelt his name with only one f, silly Jeffro).
By the time we got back to the Convict Wall it was getting late so we said our goodbyes to GavB and Tryhard (fond ones again) and parted our separate ways near the Letter A.
Everyone was pretty keen to get home so we hightailed it through the Watagans, rode down through Martinsville and home. Eagle and Jeffro also headed off on their merry way.
What a weekend! The trip was roughly 300kms all up and I know that by the time I got home I could no longer pull in the clutch to change gears because my hands were so sore.
Thank you everyone who came along. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I am glad that everyone got to view the lovely scenery along the way (especially Tracy and Eagle). And thank you to DanD for leading the ride and taking a heap of photos to make it easier to write the ride report.

AnonymousAwesome report Kylie, reading it in sections allowed to me to have little breaks in between posts  It’s good that you all got such good pictures too, I’ll have to make a point of doing better on that front myself!
I especially liked Jefro’s dreamtime, how many Jefro/Jeffro’s can there be??
