Very noice K, and good job on the build fellas, well done.
I think you will find if it’s like my DRZ was, the steering will be a little twitchy at low speed, up to ~60K’s, then it gets good, real good
Take it out of town on some nice twisty road with a good surface, you’ll see what I mean, plan your corners, wide to enter and come out tight under acceleration, it sets you up for the next corner.I agree with the front guard, same shape but yellow would look better.
Also I have some SS braiding to go over the lower radiator hose if you want it, makes it look a bit trick IMO. You’ve probably seen it on my bike, let me know if you want some.

November 15, 2009 at 12:35 am #161078DR looks great Kylie. Good call on the front guard, Yellow would look better.
Well done by all three or you and any sponsors for getting the project on the road.
Now time to go enjoy the ride.
Remember roundabouts are your playground now.
November 15, 2009 at 9:24 am #152514Another great day was had at the D`s today !!!
I thoroughly enjoyed the short ride I had on the new Motard Banana
It is a treat to ride & feels like it will be fast, real fast :woohoo:

Yes Eag’s I thoroughly enjoyed myself today. I did feel bad leaving you all there whilst I went for a ride but I was pretty keen to start practising on it. As I mentioner earlier it is different to ride and doesn’t like to do tight turns unless you are going a bit faster. But I am really happy with it and I am sure that within a few weeks will have it all worked out.
November 15, 2009 at 10:24 am #152515My day started out with a dude sneaking some OBT stickers onto his scooter
Then while on the way to the D`s I rang to see what we needed for lunch. Kylie said she was fine, but soon rang back with a shopping list for us to pick up on the way
Moto had been allocated as the cook for the day by the Project Manager, so there was NO ESCAPE  He had undercatered though
lucky he is a combustion engineer & not a wedding caterer :woohoo:
All good so far,,,
On arrival we found Moto, Tyne, Sam & cute as a button Molly there hanging with the crew.
The boys were busy in the shed changing over the kato`s steering dampers & PivotPegs.
Dan had done an oil change on TB`s fiddy & it needed a run, so Dan & I snuck off on the Motard Monsters for a quick blat around the local streets
It was a sweet ride, short but sweet!!!
The young Bulls & Bullettes of the future enjoyed themselves in the pool :cheer:
Great bunch of kids they are, all get along real well & No trouble at all.
Dan was put to good use with the Bike Wash & had the machines clean in no time !!! after he finally found the washing gear
Someone else felt left out, or was it ridiculed for having dirt all over the 450 from Louee
So he joined in the fun,,,
Then TB let loose with the BikeShine & had the steeds all shiny in all their glory!!!
Check out this baby
We decided to send Kylie out for a run on her new toy to show a friend (Mrs Novice)
She pretended to resist at first, but then had her riding gear on Horny Jeans & All  & was off like a flash,,, Damn it looks good on the road :woohoo:On her return we had the bike jobs all done, I think, and we packed up & said our goodbyes
A great weekend really with good friends for sure, can`t wait for the next gathering!!!Cheers
November 15, 2009 at 12:48 pm #161127As mentioned by Beagle there was a BBQ today, it was cooked by Moto who through all the shit hung on him about no BBQ’s in England because the weather etc cooked a great BBQ, nothing burnt. The ladies also prepared all the side dishes and it was so good to sit down with all these great fun people and enjoy lunch, all the kids played well and swam one of the best weekends I have ever had not riding my bike
Good job Moto

AnonymousI have been doing a bit of reflecting today on the DRZ project as I walked past the bike today.
The end result was definately worth it, I cant say that I didn’t get the shits throughout the whole thing cause I did. Wishing that Kylie could be just happy with one type of bike instead of having to try bloody everthing. And the amount of coin that has been thrown at it. I was sometimes thinking you cant make a silk purse out of a sows ear (sorry to all the DRZ owners – they are a good bike I am not saying that their not).
One thing that definately came out of the project DRZ was the Old Bull Spirit. We had plenty of support from everyone that was involved and we had an excellent weekend during the build.
The thing that was the best was having TB, Salina, Lochie, Kieran, Eagle, Michelle, Andrew, Ashley, Moto, Tyne, Sam and Molly come around to our place lending a hand and just enjoying each others company.
To each of you we say thankyou for just being you.
Dan and Kylie

November 16, 2009 at 9:46 am #161200The social side of the weekend was awesome as any weekend at the D’s is, we did a stack of work and still had a ball.
The kids had a ball swimming, playing with the dogs, swimming, playing the Wii, swimming and watching DVD’sTB
November 16, 2009 at 9:56 am #161203sounds like a normal Oldbulls gathering to me
November 17, 2009 at 12:45 am #161204
AnonymousIt was a very good day on Sunday and Kylie’s new beast does definitely look the part. As others said it was nice to be able to casually mess around with some bikes and have a laugh. The weather was great so it made the beers flow down well.
Thanks to the D’s for having us again (and the dogs), hopefully one day we can return the favour and throw a barbie at our place
