Project OBT ADV Suzuki DR650

OK pressure is on I have to have the DR ready for a shake down ride week before the Cameron’s ride just in case the big ends up going to the corner

So I stripped it bare, forks and shock out and off for an upgrade. I carried out a valve adjustment (how to here)
I replaced the headset bearings, fitted bar risers, new bars, grips, Biketique Barkbusters, frame guards, a full staintune system, a 19litre IMS tank, new foot pegs, stripped and greased the suspension linkages and stripped the wheels for new tyres.

Parts and more parts like Christmas :laugh:

Pillow tops, glued and wired

Larger hand guards

Staintune header

Frame guard and new foot peg

Fat bars, grips and new tank

IMS Tank

Bling Staintune

Braided Goodridge line to be fitted

Other frame guard and peg

B&B bash plate to be fitted

I should have the suspension, wheels and the remaining parts this week, including peg lower kit, screen, and more Vince Strang bits and pieces

how do those pillow tops grips go they dont give you arm pump ?just wondering never tryed them

Well the project bike is finished and I have to say surprising. With the full Staintune system, the air box and carby mods the thing fairly rips :dry:

I will post up some pictures and story tomorrow. Also I have some parts to list in the free for all section including bark busters, mounts Renthal bars etc

The suspension has transformed the bike as have all the kit from Vince Strang
