AnonymousHi Craig,
The Shearers Quarters is now full up but there is the option to camp or potentially to stay at the local pub which is walking distance from the Shearers quarters and probably where we’ll be for a night or so

AnonymousI just tried to contact them (after spelling Lue wrong ) and got no answer. I will check with them prices and availabality for accomodation. Looks like it’s 1.7K’s from the Louee by car or a fair bit shorter if you can duck across the railway line on foot.
Keep an eye here for updates
May 26, 2009 at 4:51 am #136480Just booked in accommodation at the Lue Hotel for myself and Tiny. They have 2 types of accommodation, Cabins $30 per person per night and rooms with 2 single beds $20 per person per night. Currently they have no kitchen as the hotel is being refurbished, but they are hoping to have it up and running in the next few months. If the kitchen is not ready you will need to bring your own food. Get in early for those that are thinking about staying as the accommodation is limited.

They have 2 cabins that are self contained (own shower/kitchen etc) and cn be booked for $30 per person per night based on 5 sharing.
They also have rooms that will sleep 40, which would be great, but here’s the thing. The current owner said, and I use his words ‘those rooms are, well, atrocious’ What he did back it up with is that they are okay to swag down for the night or a cheap bed but you wouldn’t want to live in them. You also have to bring you own bed sheets/sleeping bag/swag.
Lastly he said that the hotel is in the process of changing hands and the new owners have indicated that they will either refurbish or knock down and replace the rooms with more cabins. The current owner has advised that he doesn’t know if and when they will do this :blink:
My best suggestion is that we should hire the cabin if we get another 5 confirmed people as the other accomodation sounds very dodgy. He did say he has just got a booking today, must have been Tiny’s Biartch!
