Went trail riding this morning with the young bloke (lateish KX60) and some mates, Dry Euc forest stinkin’ hot day, sand sticks, loam and dust. Anyway on our final loop back at the cars we had lost the two older Blokes, so i suggested to the kids we head back on another short loop and locate them, and my young blokes says “Dad my bikes making a horrible squealing noise and has been since the S/T”, my mates daughter says looks like fuel dripping out slowly, so when i got around the other side his bottom radiator hose was torn in half and it was not fatigued. So i checked the compression…SFA, been running like it for 20 minutes almost completely dry.
Now does the fact i ran this mix at 25:1 play a part… I reckon so myself….. or were we just lucky it didn’t nip up and take the bottom end out with it at high RPM?

either way a new topend is required, but that’s nothing compared to the pain we could have suffered (him physically, me financially)

I assume since he’s on a kx60 he’s just a little tacker so sfa load from his weight would also of helped I reckon.
