is 120ks your limit or when you hit reserve?
I did a 270km ride through mainly single trail a couple of weeks ago and hit reserve bang on 120ks then did 22km more to a servo, if felt to close for comfort.
Do you know anyone with the 28 ltr tank and how it changes the ride??June 14, 2010 at 10:54 am #181804Boulders done a heap of miles with a big tank on his DR he could help. Tekniks did his suspension though I am sure that helps. Ask Boulder

June 14, 2010 at 10:58 am #181805at a push I can get 160 ks out of a tank . but i like to take into consideration the extra fuel you use in certain predicaments out in the scrub and the riding style used on the day.
I am looking into a nomad rear tank for the longer rides, cheap option and will give you over a half a tank more fuel on a ride,,June 14, 2010 at 11:03 am #181808Trailboss wrote:

I didn’t mean to get off the ride topic , just interested in what the ride would require!

About Boony about its still about its worth nothing make a bloody date or at least a firm month fark you couldnt organise a piss up in a brewery
Listen take some tips
Check other groups etc that use the area see what they got on at least you may get a weekend thats not double booked and someone else is in the camp area you want to use
Have a back up site in case someone is there with a big group like Sofala weekend
Check the race calendars
Check with your missus
Check with the forestry in case they are doing something
And thats only a small list of things you will need to cover to get it started in a gathering thread
Its easy organising rides isnt it, get organised at least with a month firm and check all the bips and bobs
Happy to help if you want a tip or something if you want
