    Hi Guys,

While I’m here maybe you can help me, my son has a pw80 which has been going fine, until last weekend, I noticed it was leaking fuel from the overflow in the carb and the bike would bog down when opening up the throttle, I’m not real mechanically minded but was wondering if there was anything I could check etc. What do you think.

    Thanks
    Ron

    Ron,

Sounds as though it is flooding caused by the float staying low in the fuel bowl, chris had this happen last weekend because of something stuck in the needle. Basically the float is lifted by the fuel level to close the needle and stop the fuel entering the carby, when the level drops so does the float letting fuel in. Rip the carby of and turn it up side down, remove the phillip screws think ther are 4 from memory and carefully remove the bowl. You will see the plastic float and slide the pin out of the hinge CAREFULLY lift the float up the needle will come up with it. Blow the holes out etc and look for some crap in there. Its pretty easy really just work slowly lock the kids in the house have a stubby close by for support.
    :woohoo:
