Rat…Not a very challenging Grade I’m Afraid..most of it so fsr has been old forestry roads, couple of missing bridges is about as hard as it gets…but I’m only half way ther so who knows?? I’ more doing it for the History side. From gayndah, a ride to Monto’s mountains is on the cards to see the Old war birds on the hill top?? More ADV riding than anything.
May 13, 2009 at 9:37 am #134025The Cooloola way run/Freshwater track at Rainbow could be Intersting for some..that sand is deep and well turned..Cooloola way is a rather rough and Holey logging road…from The back of Gympie to Rainbow…
May 13, 2009 at 9:40 am #134029At least your doing it Mate, and you have to start mapping out and getting used to an area slowly so you do get too lost

May 14, 2009 at 11:36 am #132973Hey Husky whats happened to sirdropalot then? when i posted this thread i thought he would have some good input.
Out of the ideas so far it would seem that a weekend at Fraser would be the most interesting from the scenic point of view but as I’v never been there i’v got no idea what sort of riding it would be apart from lots of sand:laugh:  the whole event would be more of a social weekend rather than a hard riding one, but I’m sure it would involve a good piss up;)Lets see some more ideas posted
May 14, 2009 at 8:43 pm #134262I have been to Fraser Is. a couple of times and one thing I can tell you is that, it is sand and more sand and every now and then, just to keep you on your toes, you will come across a sandy patch.

Sand on Frazer Island, News Flash

You may have missed the fact that the post was kinda “tongue in cheek” material.

I was just pointing out that they ought to be prepared for a lot of sand riding on Fraser.

There are also plenty of 4WD’s getting around the place that need to be avoided. Not to mention cops with radar guns occasionally.
