Hi Guys
Just got directed to your site, not sure if its cause Im old or they think you guys maybe able to help me.A mate and I are looking to come down from QLD and check out the riding around Coffs as weve heard that its shit hot. Ideally we’re looking for gr. 5 or 6 single track, hills, creeks and good flowing riding.
Has anybody got any advice on were we should head.
Does anyone have GPS tracks plotted that we could use.
We’re not against using a trail tour company but usually you get more riding in with just a couple of riders who know where to go.
If someone wanted to be our guide we could return the favour as we hang out at Kennilworth QLD a bit. We think Kennilworth is dirt bike heaven however Ive heard Coffs can give it a run for its money. It doesnt have to be Coffs if there are better places between there and the border.
We have a week spare 22-26 Feb
We use KTM 300sCheers hope you can help

February 4, 2010 at 11:58 am #170298Im guessin ollies not coming, rubbish tracks and all!
How much rain have you guys had?
February 5, 2010 at 2:24 am #170299The rain has been perfect and it is sweet, sweet loam with a bit a slippery stuff to keep you on your toes. Perfect!
I am away in Nth Qld the days you are around so if you can make it for a ride Sunday afternoon I can show you in the right direction and then leave you with my map so that you can explore more. The Bello boys or Corey may be able to take you for a blast as well.
There are lots of accomadation options and as I am on the Nth side of Coffs google accom in Woolgoolga or Darlington Park for rates. Darlington park has good cabins, pools and facilites with safe place to lock your bikes and 200 metres from the beach on one side on less than that to the forest on the other. It is aslo only 1km from a great pub.
Cheers

February 5, 2010 at 12:07 pm #170317We’ll make sure we are there before lunch Sun and hopefully you can take us for a couple of hours and give us the low down on where to go for the rest of the week. Any sort of luck one of the other boys may be able to take us for a lap also.
Thanks
February 5, 2010 at 12:23 pm #170377No drama 99.
I will take you out sunday arvo and give you an overview of the forest and leave you my map and you and your crew can take it from there.
I will do my best to get some time off Monday morning as well so it should work out good for you guys.
Book some accom and I will look after you the best I can with the time I have.

February 5, 2010 at 12:42 pm #170378That sounds fantastic STM
At the moment theres only 2 of us so we should be able to cover a bit of ground.
Darlington sounds good but havnt checked with them yet. Is that close to your place?
What do you ride?
Cheers 99
February 5, 2010 at 12:47 pm #170382Darlington is only 2 k’s from me and it is absolute beach front. This time of year cabins are cheap and the facilities are 1st class.
I ride a WR250F as I mostly ride tight singletrack but I have terrain here that would challenge anyone and any bike keen to have a crack!

February 5, 2010 at 1:15 pm #170384yer we’re single trackers as well. We like a good hill climb and a fast flowing tight ST.
My mate is better at the hills than me, hes still got a bit of youth on his side.I run a rekluse as I race local enduros however the rekluse is not really the go on some steep hills as you dont have the clutch to take a bit of power out of it when needed
