Rats coaching school

well as usual Dave as held another of his coaching schools for the kids.
He tries to have a school for the kids every school holidays.
I’ve just spent the last 2 days out at the track with my kids & they have had a ball.
I would recommend Dave’s school to anyone kids & adults. I’ve done one but unfortunately I’m not much of an advertisement for Dave. He tried hard with me just couldn’t get the gumpy out :laugh:
but in all his school’s are fantastic. I have seen a great improvement in my kids riding & they enjoy every minute of it. They can’t wait for the next one.
anyone thinking of doing one just do it you wont regret it.

I hear these courses are the go, but I know from experience sometimes getting your kids to do it even with a coach confirmed date can be a hassle :laugh: :laugh:

Rat’s schools are great. As Puddles said you can see the huge improvement in the kids riding by days end. Taylah had such a good time the other day she wants to go to the 85cc school on Thursday and just listen and watch.

I think for those who attended Louee would have seen first hand some of Rats coaching skills (if they were paying attention that is :laugh: )

How to Eat Dirt was demonstrated on numerous occasions, also how to whinge & whine about your sore bones & not ride any further was on the agenda too I think :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

Seriously though, Dave has the passion to teach the youngsters for sure.

Eagle I only ate dirt when we raced for a poker hand remember, and the front was flat as I recall, there was not other hitting the deck till then and after, I did ride the next day as well, with some help from a few good meds

I really do enjoy these schools, and thanks for the positive feedback

You missed one thing Eagle the excuses for the crashes :laugh: :laugh: The excuses where flying off here and there almost as much as Ollie’s de-laminating rear retread was throwing its tread :laugh: :laugh:

Actually his IRC was no worse then my Bridgestone Ollie or most tyres I saw that weekend in the rocks with the expection of yours.

Dave your schools are well known and we will get the boys back up there again this year for sure

I highly recommend one of Rats Mx schools,especially if you live on the Mid North Coast,it is a great day. The hardest part for rat in my case was trying to get an old dog to learn new tricks but to Daves credit every time I ride now I do use some of the things I learned (especially the double pump of the front brake lever) His School turned me from a crusty Ol gumby into a cross between Bob Hannah and jeremy Mcgrath :laugh: (well maybe not but dreams are free :laugh:

Maybe somewhere in the future we could have a OB training day.

Rat conducts schools every school holidays at the HVMCC raceway at Wauchope,so kids can get their mandatory 5hrs coaching every year so as they can apply for their MA licences.
He has specific days for those who have never held a MA licence as well as specific cc days ie 68/85. He also conducts girls only days as well.

With all the levees,permit fees and bullshit that MA come up with to screw more money out of us Moto parents, the cost for a 5hr school is $86.60.(Money well spent if Dave got all the money)
Once your kid has done their 5hrs they can then apply for their MA licence for another year. These licences vary in price from $240 per annum for a club licence and about $275 for a national licence.

No doubt Rat can add to this thread with specific dates of his next schools etc.
