October 10, 2009 at 9:09 am #155909Shopuldn`t need these mods ???? Isn`t it STRICLY a Motard Machine ???
I thought these breather mods would only benefit those that see dirt, grime, dust & mud etc

AnonymousYeah you are probably right Eagle, but KD’s bananna is going to be bling bling bling with everything. So re-routed breather hoses will be done as well.
October 10, 2009 at 9:36 am #155917I have to agree with Eagle here.
I cant see any reason to do this on a motard only bike, I never had a reason to do it on mine which was ridden in the dirt a lot.It doesnt even look like bling to me.
Just my 20c worth.
October 10, 2009 at 9:46 am #155928Motard race bikes have all there hoses and overflows into a catchment bottle (thats the rules I set factory phil’s up for his CRF250 motard bike) so Kylies hoses into the air box will do the same and better then dropping on the back wheel I would think. The other hose will be put into a catchment bottle but that we are making

October 10, 2009 at 10:41 am #155910Thanks for sharing this Boulder.
I have read about doing this, heard about doing this and seen some shitty photos on how to do it but your pics show detail.
Gives me the confidence to now do it.
Long live the DRZ’s

Can`t wait for this project to get underway then !!!On Topic.
Nice work as usual BoulderLooking after the Boonster
He would probably shout you a few brews to drive to Tamworth & do the mods for him   :laugh:Then you could do the Nundle ride while you are up there too

But i have two black hoses. One comes off the bottom of the carby and a thicker one goes up under the fuel tank and i cant see where it goes without taking everything off.

Fair call Ollie
I just had everything off to change the Spark plug and do these mods but ran out of time as i wanted to go riding. And because i have a long range tank with fiddly bolts its a pain in the arse and time consuming so thats why i’m taking the easy option and asking first.
December 15, 2009 at 11:51 pm #165425Yeh no worries Jak Im just sitting at home bored with my finger in the air after yesterdays Op

No Jak captain fingers in the air has no idea, two hoses still have to go down. I havent got a DR with me at the minute  but the one on the bottom of the carby still needs to go down and the other I will have to get back to you or Boulder maybe able to help you tonight.
The other is a drain and could fill the air box with raw petrol if the bike is upside down

No worries. I’ll let em dangle for the moment.
December 16, 2009 at 7:38 am #155911Jak, you should only have four hoses to take up to air box. The black one you leave down as this is a drain hose from bowl. There is a black vacuum hose that goes to the head leave that one alone, You may be getting confused with the throttle positioning sensor that routes up under the tank. If you have taken the four clear hoses up then you are good to go!!
