Not sure if this is a product review, ride report, suspension report but anyway
Got a teknik rear spring for the kato (to suit my weight)here’s what i found
Fitting was very easy, removed shock from bike, but never having done this before, I had to look up how to get the spring off the shock(very easy once you know about the little clip thingy)
Change spring and wound about 10mm tension on it, fitted back to bike(job done)
Did rider and static sag(see teknik’s forum)Still not sure if those settings are right but the bike certainly did feel different/better.
Bike felt like it’s ride was higher, it felt more compliant in the turns, tracked straight as in about 100 sandy whoops(if you can call my riding straight)
:laugh: and seemed to soak up roots small rocks etc a whole lot better. There was no really hard stuff where we were riding, but I am happy with results.
Not sure if settings are where they need to be, maybe teknik’s can help once they get sorted but at this stage it was well worth doing.Hatto
