Motocross or scrambles as my grandfather called it was stood on it’s ear in the early 60s, as it became formally recognised and the predominant countries of the time (the big 4 were still pooping on their xylophones then) decided to make some dedicated bikes.
CZ (from czechoslavakia) Greeves from britain, andn followed quickly by husky (see always been around) made some lightweight 250cc class bikes that dominated the class, by 1964 the Big 350 Single 2T CZ had gained a fancy new addition called and “expansion chamber” and that was that…no comparison
CZ 2T dominated off-road competition for basically a decade in the top classes, Greeves and husqvarna and a few others got good results too, but if you owned a 4T you were relegated to s pecial group of “nutters” who needed special care and understanding………
