Hello I am fitting a Rekluse Z start Pro to my TM 300[some redesign required ]. Is there any wisdom about this postie bike clutch? I have heard only positive feedback….
I will inform the’ Bulls’ as I ride and test.
    Fitting
    This has been a problem…..

The fitting for a TM is non standard[Rekluse dont make one], so a CRF 450 Rekluse kit is used as the base.

I have had to use the standard TM discs and plates, and a machined TM centre- as the CRF clutch centre has a different internal spline, and the rekluse kit discs, only fits the rekluse centre.

It is normal to use the existing- standard- plates

The clutch pack once installed with the outer[pressure plate] needs to have freeplay and I am struggling at the moment with too much or two little. The adjustment is removal of plates or discs, and there is one thicker disc supplied.

But I cant get a configuration that works so I am considering machining the thrust washer under the clutch centre.

I will keep the info coming as it happens

Cheers Scott, Mal 5.1 knows a bit about them (he is pretty clued up mechanically anyway) Sutto’s are the importers and dealers for Australia if you get stuck

The only wisdom I can give you is always remember that if the motor or rear wheel stops turning the Rekluse unlocks and the bike will free wheel until you give the engine a rev. You connot roll start your bike either. Also don’t treat it like a constant velocity transmission, it only engages and disengages the clutch automatically.

On the adjustment side. Measure all the discs and plates to ensure they are within spec. I had 2 thicker discs with mine and got the freeplay correct after trying a few different combinations. You may have to do more machining since the center has already been machined. I think you can buy the thicker discs separatley as well.

    Hope this helps.
