A quick update on the rekluse.
I’ve had a short run at Sunny Corner with it and it seemed to perform well on the rocky stuff and the hills we did. It was a ride with Bob and his mate Jason and as we all know riding with Bob lately ends early and usally someone breaks bones.
I’ve had a few rides around the paddock and the smal grass track I have and with the rekluse and a bit more fitness have shaved about 12 seconds off my 6 lap time. I don’t put all 12 seconds down to the rekluse but it centainly helped.
I moved the cows yesterday and thought that sort of riding would not be suited to the rekluse because it’s a lot of stop starting and the paddock is pretty steep. But the rekluse made it a bit easier I think as I didn’t have to keep grabbing for the clutch. I just stay aware not to slip the clutch (using the throttle) to much and geberate to much heat in the gearbox. Also found that calfs are very interested in the sound of a two stroke.
Here are a few vidoes of the rekluse in action.

Having a bit of fun around the dam
January 19, 2010 at 12:56 am #168749nice work mal, cutting sik around the dam
so is it both thumbs up yet or is the jury still out??
im very interested in one of these for sammy…in a ttr230.
January 19, 2010 at 1:24 am #168752Yep Menace it’s both thumbs up, for me anyway.
It would be a good thing for Sammy as long as she knows it’s not a CVT and to keep it locked it. Show her how it works when you install the clutch and if she can understand how and why it works then it will be easy for her to use.
Good luck with it mate. When’s the TTR230 coming. That’s a good size bike for Sammy.

AnonymousGood to hear that the rekluse is working out for you Mal. I might scab a go of your bike one day (if ya dont mind) I would like to see how one goes in a 2 smoke. And no I am not thinking of getting rid of the WR.
And Menace good choice of bike for Sammy – The TTR230 that KD had was a good bike, except for the suspension (a bit harsh so I was told ). Good low seat height though
and it’s a Yammie
January 19, 2010 at 3:12 am #168763Hmmm, looking at the rekluse site, they dont do one for a ttr230, only the ttr125.
or a dt175 for the record
January 19, 2010 at 3:15 am #168778Speak with Sutto’s mate as they are the importers and the site needs updating I am told

No worries Dan, you can take the Husky for a spin. I wouldn’t mind a spin on your WR as I’ve never riden a WR450.

Dick says man up and learn to use your clutch in the way that the lord intended if you cant play chessI am sorry Dick but the retraction wont cut it this time. Here is the reply I typed while you had a good look at yourself.
Dick should not wonder too much about things Dick cannot control. All involved can and does us a clutch, just not in the conventional way Dick is use to. As Dick would already know the clutch is essentially operated by the right hand now.
All involved does not want training wheels. Training wheels are for professional use only and we all know Dick is the only professional here.
All involved has ‘maned up’ and learnt to use a clutch many moons ago. But all involved is interested in mechanics moving forward not lying stagnate in the 1920s. All involved also has a car with two electric operated clutches as proof of said interest.
If Dick wants to talk about what this ‘Lord’ intended then Dick should pm all involved and leave religion out of Old Bulls all together. All involved gave up chess at age 15 as there was no money to be made from the game way back then.
Dick this is a product review thread and derogatory remarks towards the person that takes the time to buy, install, take photos, take videos and post for all to read and comment on (good or bad), is not welcome. If you have a genuine question post it and I’ll answer the best I can, without any reference to this Lord you speak of.
Go to the cowpat thread and talk your third person crap!!!
