I understand the auto clutch but not quite certain about it’s real benefit over a normal clutch.
Is it just to make the bike easier to ride with less manual controls?

Does anyone here race/compete with one?

Being new to the two stroke world I found myself being more concerned with using the manual clutch than riding the bike. I stalled a fair bit and messed up a lot of corners and down hills. So I think your right Beemer it does make it easier for me to enjoy riding.

The other benefit is that the clutch engages at the same rate every time so I’m not worried about having to little or to much revs on board before letting the clutch out. As Boony said it’s sort of cheating.

I haven’t talked to anyone that uses one racing yet. I would be keen to hear their thoughts.

I used one in my 550 Berg in a couple of enduro’s, the most benefit was when fatigue set in, made life so much better, the thing I liked the most was you could basically blast into corners way to hot and not have to worry about stalling and to a point which gear you were in, with the power of the 550 it most of the times would pull/wheel spin you out, I am putting one into my Berg 450 at the moment so will be interesting how the smaller cc’s handle that style of riding.
While I was doing the videoing for Mal5.1, I could really see the difference with Mal’s riding, he looked to be in more control (seriously) and the lap times proved it, I reckon he will improve at least another 3-5 seconds a lap before the A4DE, go Mal go!!

How did you go with the FE 450? and which Rekluse clutch did you go for.

    Cheers.

I used the pro clutch but my FE is the older model, they are a good thing and I think they are well worth the money. I installed a pro version in a FE 570 and was very easy to install and the fella (Gotchya) loves it
    hope that helps
