    Gday Bulls,

I am in the works of developing a package to educate those interested in what to expect and how to assist Rescue Crews if you or one of your riding mates needs immediate recovery via Rescue Helicopter.

I am currently working as a Rescue Crew Officer for two Rescue Helicopter providers (EMQHR Brisbane / Westpac Lifesaver Lismore) and have had extensive experience in this field with many winch recoveries performed.
As modern dirtbike technology is improving we are venturing even deeper into the bush so having the knowledge and equipment to assist emergency services during rescue is paramount.

There are many areas that will be covered including some of the following and more

    HELICOPTER LANDING SITES
    COMMUNICATIONS
    WINCHING TECHNIQUES/(STRETCHER/RESCUE STROP) FAMILIARISATION
    USE OF DAY/NIGHT FLARES/ EPIRBS(Emergency Loacator Beacons)
SERVICES AND TYPES OF AIRCRAFT IN YOUR FLIGHT AREA
    HELICOPTER SAFETY BRIEFINGS
RESCUE HELICOPTER BASE VISIT IN YOUR FLIGHT AREA
    AND MORE!!!!!!!

I will also offer a point of purchase for various emergency equipment such as EPIRBS /FLARES /STROBE LIGHTS ect and offer kits tailored for trailbike riders.
It is invisaged that this package will suit avid trailriders who want to know more and will provide the information that may just save your life one day.
Tailored packages will also be available for Tour Operators/Clubs and major events holders.

Cost is yet to be determined but OLD BULL members will receive a special rate with a percentage of the cost being donated to the Rescue Helicopter Service in your flight region.

Interested???If so feel free to contact me on 0413347478 or PM me via this website.

    Many Thanks

Probably a bloody good idea!! Gasit a member here has had a helicopter ride after breaking his femur.THe boys where lucky that they had a GPS and phone coverage. The helicopter found them in no time. The boys said the scariest bit was when the Chopper was overhead and the propwash from the chopper was flinging sticks, branches and a dust storm about.

Yes the downwash can be an issue.

i definatley know a few ‘by their riding styles’ that would benefit from attending a session.

i reckon i could get at least 6-10 together in the Taree area.

    more info would be great.
