    Hi All,
A ride report from this morning’s ride with Adam at Ourimbah.
I was close to pulling the pin last night as I have the flu and been feeling off since thursday but decided that seeing as I organised the ride I cant very well not show up.
We all met at the designated spot, Dttugboat and I arrived and found Husaberger already there (not that we knew it was him to begin with).
We had started getting ready when Budge and Needlemeyer rolled in. After some introductions we finished off getting suited up and were waiting for Adam.
I received a message from Adam saying that he was just fixing a fuel leak and it wasn’t long until he arrived with Action.
Quick run through the corner man and Adam led off with Action sweeping.

At this point I must apologize for my display of dirt bike crashing early on the ride

We started with some rocky rutted hills that were quite ridable but I was doing my best to fall off at every opportunity.
No matter what I tried I just could not get into any kind of rhythm except when I was on the ground.
I knew what I needed to do but just couldn’t make myself do it
I must of tasted the dirt 5 times in 45 mins and felt like a complete gumby
A big thanks to Action for your patience while I was trying to figure out how to ride a dirt bike

The positive of this was that by around the 45 min mark I had already worked up one hell of a sweat and was actually starting to feel a bit better.

Wasn’t long after that we hit some singles and I was at least starting to find some kind of rhythm and managed to keep it rubber side down for a bit.

Adam continued to lead us around some awesome singles for the next hour and a half or so with a couple of quick snack breaks.

There was a nice loose hill back up to one of the main tracks that was fun as well.
Unfortunately when we arrived here it was time for Dttugboat and myself to depart and head back home. With Adam’s instructions we were back to the car in no time. The other continued on and I trust they had a pleasant afternoon.
It was an awesome early morning squirt and we both had a ball ( well maybe I didn’t for the first bit  )

Thanks again to Adam and Acton for leading and sweeping, sorry about my gumby moments

Great Sunday morning adrenaline fix thank you very much gentlemen and cheers to adam and action for the carrot and stick duties

I’ve not ridden up their before but was great. Eyes were popping out of my head at all the unexplored tracks I had to ride past on the way back to the truck……. Damn  ha

Under an hr from home and riding by 8 so too easy…. thanx for the lift trailtaster… oops trailraider. :woohoo:

Nice meeting you all boys and even nicer doing it on the trail ;)

Great day! Thanks to Adam and Action for the lead and sweep duties. You guys are lucky to have this primo riding at your back door.
Husaberger made that log look easy. The next 100m took its toll on everyone – rocks, ruts, steep, slippery and hot! Damn it was dusty at the rear of the pack.
    Enjoyable to the end.
    Cheers budge B)

Well another top day on the bike :woohoo:

I waited for Action and kitted up, started the bike and discovered a fuel leak

Whipped the tank off to realize it was coming from up round the injector :(

We rode to the meet point met the others and decided to see what happens B)

It fixed itself so all good :cheer:

There wasn’t any dust from where I was sitting  Gee it’s good to be the lead :P

We kept to the eastern side hoping to keep the dust down but there hasn’t been any rain here for ages and its taking its toll :(

We started into the challenging stuff pretty much from the start to warm everyone up ;) When Trailraider took his helmet off his head was wringing wet  I think I may have overdone it

We took some slightly easier options to the fun singles where Dttugboat had his TTR screaming and his smile said it all, he was having a ball :woohoo: He was so keen he even took on the challenge hill went to the top and came back down for more B) Unfortunately for him and Trailraider there time was up and headed back to the cars.

We headed for some more singles which ends in a nice climb however the track fairies have been at work and added some more singles (read cleared some old tracks) and reconfigured the tracks so we went round and round a bit to find the old track to the hill climb

Everyone cruised to the top so I figured we’d head to the gully to sort them out :P

I took as many side track that I could to get to the gully as the main track was busy with minibuses and trailers loaded with mountain bikes

The ride into the gully is all tight single and a bit of fun but the climb out is technical and took its toll so we took the easy options back towards the cars and finished off a good day with some cruisey tracks, but not too cruisey :P

I also got to test my Rekluse clutch out today, it saved my butt more than once  and my arthritic hand is all the better for it ;)

Thanks to Trailraider for posting up the ride and Action for sweeping and to all the boys for a top day on the bike

Here’s a vid of the days adventure

The ADV thing certainly did cross my mind once or twice in the first hour mate, think I was just having a bad day and probably should have stayed home :(
