Yeah, not so much a ride report, more like dicking about in the back paddock.
Didn’t have the camera the other day when Mal was over, so no video of him jumping the totally rad BMX jump of Death

That’s gold capt. You are like a 16 year old with that YZ.
Track looks the goods mate.
And the jump is fully RAD!!!
September 24, 2010 at 10:19 am #187844Very true
Decided to stay home this weekend so heading back up the paddock to do some more work on the track. That slippery section in amongst the pines is shaping up nicely. Getting some nice shallow berms starting to form. The Raptor is great for cutting the track in with.
Just need to get a Bobcat up there to put in some better jumps.

Keep em coming Capt.. Love your videos..
September 24, 2010 at 11:18 am #187846I was over at sherwood today and heard all the two stroke racket!! i should have come over and checked out the show, you are getting there with the stoppies
I will have a guy at my place hopefully in the next week or so doing some earthworks with a mini exgavator and bobcat if you want I will let him know you need a jump or two builtSeptember 24, 2010 at 11:22 pm #187847Hehe, Thanks Guys.
When I get the track in I’ll organise a ride/camp up there and post it.
October 20, 2010 at 6:11 am #187848Just cause I can.

October 20, 2010 at 11:27 am #189209The new signage on the float looks good Capt. And yes we know you can do stoppies now.
How’s the rolling stoppies going, mastered them yet?
How did the Louee videos come up?
October 20, 2010 at 11:42 am #187849Getting there with them. Trick is to get the bike up a bit higher and more speed. I’ve been practising them on a bit of down hill and that makes them easier to do.
I will burn the Louee vids onto DVD for you and bring it out Friday.
October 20, 2010 at 11:52 am #187850Finally got out with the new helmet and neck brace as well.
Painting the neck brace to match the helmet.
October 21, 2010 at 4:50 am #189234I dunno you old Knights you’re a bit hard on the gear, look at that pipe looks like it’s been hitting with a lance…

Actually Officer Furious how are you finding the brakes on the YZ?
and yes nice stoppies, bewarned sometimes they hurt on concrete though…

October 21, 2010 at 5:09 am #187851Hehe, part of the fun of the 2T is the constant worry about dinging the pipe. Can’t wait for DI 2T

The brakes are ok. The back is kinda touchy. The front isn’t too bad. Could do with some more feel but I can feed in the stoppie ok using it with just two fingers so maybe I am just being picky.

Rears are shockers aren’t they?
I swapped my front out with honda parts (couresy of TB) and it has heaps more feel now, but i actually know some blokes run oil in the rear pads to stop that “INSTANT” lockup thing.
Yeah the worry of flattening the pipe makes bigger logs a two option thing.
#1- lift the bike over physically
#2- attack the log with the front 4′ in the air at speed and hope to hell the rear doesn’t rebound too quick, seems to work for me….. mostly, unless I’m tired or feeling off then it’s option #1.BC
October 21, 2010 at 8:52 am #187852You might need to look at a Hyde plastic pipe guard/mud catcher Captain.
Just sand blasted my pipe and painted it so had a good chance to look at a couple of years worth of bottoming out on logs and only has some light dents from the mounting bolts that hold it on,so its done it’s job just a massive pain to clean out.
cheers
