Well here I go with my first ride report. Met up with STM at about 1pm and we headed off on my maiden Old Bull ride. After only 6 hrs sleep ( Night shift sux) I was still keen to hit the trails. We headed out to the west of STM’s to some of the best trails I have ever riden. The trails had everything, logs to get over and water to get thru, alot this stuff I have never riden before. Thank crist I bought a bash plate cause the 450 was taking a beating. I only had 3 or 4 little offs during the day but they happened at the end of the day when the cramps in the wrists and elbows were at there best, couldn’t even grip the bars on the ride home down the Hwy. I think I need to ride a bit more to get some ride fitness up. STM went like a rocket all day, no offs and didn’t hesitate having a 15min break mid ride while I got my feeling back into my hands. Top ride, top bloke and top trails. You guys really need to come up for a run, STM’s area is just great. No photo’s as someone forgot the camera but thats just a good excuse to have to do it all again.
July 18, 2009 at 7:49 am #144283Iv`e got family that live in grafton, might have to organize something, thats not a bad report, you should read mine, there shocking?
July 18, 2009 at 7:50 am #144284Guilty as charged Fez, I did forget the camera.
In my excitement to show off my local loops I packed everything but the camera but that just gives us an excuse to get back out and do it all again.
Saturday arvo’s and Sundays are always good for me so when your up for some more single track action let me know.
I bet the 30 km’s back down the highway felt more like 300 after manhandling the 450 around some of those trails. Good effort considering you were riding everything blind and you have only been cruising fireroads since you bought your blue beast.
You know where I am at so don’t be shy.
Good job OBT for making these days possible.

July 18, 2009 at 9:11 am #144307Mate at the moment I’m only working 1 day a week and I will only be going casual soon to get more fishing and riding time in. Best part is the wife likes the idea, so I should be sweet for the next couple of months.

Mate just enter Mullaway NSW into Google Earth and scroll west, you will get the idea.
While you are at it check the eastern side too. Dirt bike nirvana one side and a surf mecca the other:)
