I personally fall into catagory 3 in this thread. I am for ever looking at lines and the way others attack obstacles, but being a country boy ,,,to much pride to just ask how should I do this or that, and it normally ends up in tears.
Bolls you have shocked me with this thread,or did wilamena tell you to ask for help, lol,
serious though brilliant idea dude, I have a million question to help get me to the end of the ride ….well done..

September 4, 2009 at 10:38 pm #148973Ok got the suspension soughted, now for a helping hand on some tips..
question 1
backing the bike into a corner,,how come every time I try this i get a first hand view of the australian bush, normally overshoot my mark:( i can get it to drift in
,i have problems exiting the darn corner,
i have done it a few times and it ,is a quick cornering method,
how can i get consistant at this cornering technique and does it really help with my style of riding or just leave it to the good riders.:huh:any ideas people??????

AnonymousYou need to help the bike to help you Boondog so make sure you move your weight as far forward as you can which unweights the back wheel and helps the front tyre to bite into the ground. You do this generally by shifting you arse right up on the tank.
You should put your leg out and forward (the one on the inside of the corner) so that if the bike starts to slide away from you you can rescue it with a quick dab.
The rest is really throttle control and confidence through practice. Experiment on a slower loamy corner without any rocks present and crank the bike over more and more whilst applying increasing amounts of throttle.
9 times out of 10 the front wheel will start to lose traction and slide before the bikes gives way and goes down. This is how far you can push it for now. When you get better you’ll be rounding corners with both wheels in a controlled slide
September 4, 2009 at 11:55 pm #151138Great tip moto sounds like there may be some lessons hapening at louee around the fire at night?? I get the prinicple I think its the confidence i lack. Then again now the bike is starting to feel better this kind of stuff might get easier.
