Has anybody fitted a second rim lock to their bike?
Just wondering, as I am almost tearing the v/v stem out on the rear wheel
Existing rim lock is plenty tight
Do they wear or lose grip after time?
    Cheers

They do wear if they are the softer OEM alloy type Murph. I reckon a 2nd one wouldnt hurt for what you do with that 500 mate. You would get a lot of slip and sudden grip with your riding. Careful you dont over tighten as well because they split

I run a second one on the rear Murph to stop the v stem from ripping off at low PSI. It works well. + the standard KTM rim locks are shit.

    Thanks Gentlemen
I think I will run another lock
    One more question
Where in relation to the existing rim lock do i put a second one?
    Cheers

I run mine 90′ apart with the v stem in the middle of both of them.

The rims are very hard to drill :/

I run two. But it does make it harder to fit the tyre and tube…. Or it just cos I got fat hands….

Factory k8ii rear had two holes already. One a few spokes from the valve the other almost directly across from the valve.

Maybe the orignal rim lock is worn due to kms on the bike and the use it’s put thru

Answer = buy a new one 1st and see how it goes. ;)
