Took the Mrs for a ride the other weekend and before I knew it I had succeeded in ripping the valve stem out on the front. Now I know this was due to me having not enough air pressure in the tyre to start with so I am directly responsibly for this one. However as a preventative measure I was thinking of putting rimlocks on both front and rear. They may create some wheel balance issues as well. Any advice on topic….
She hasn’t lost faith and is keen to go again, slow trip home though…

I ran a rimlock on the rear for the APC – Zero Flats, everyone i was riding with varied from 2 to 10+
Valve stems ripped out pinch flats and damaged tyres, I also picked up a tip to leave the valve nut backed out to the valve cap so the valve stem can pivot if slipped a bit before tearing itself out.

I never bothered with getting wheels balanced but after having it done once im now converted
    The difference was immediately noticeable
