I just purchased a set of Rotopax for my bike to extend the fuel range to around 600 kms or more in the right conditions. Next year am planning a 4 week trip across Australia with some remote areas and the extra fuel will be needed.

I purchased the Rotopax after looking at bladders etc but didn’t like the fact that any extra fuel would need to be carried high and more than likely on the rear rack. The Rotopax let’s the fuel be carried lower. With the packs fitted my Wolfman soft panniers just fit around the outside but more on the Wolfman soft panniers later

The Rotopax come in all different sizes for fuel including 3.8L, 7.6l and 11.4L. I bought the 3.8s as that will give me a total of 31 to 32 litres of fuel on the bike. The beauty of the packs is I don’t need to fill them and dont have to ride around a big tank all the other time. The packs do move my bags out around 10cm which I can’t see being a problem as the bags are narrower then the Andys I had before.

The pax are mounted on a locking mechanism that attaches to an alloy plate that is attached to the racks

The locking mechanism bolted to the plate with two bolts, easily removed when the pax aren’t required

Can’t wait to give them a test which will be the Camerons ride I think on the different first three day run the 6 of us are doing into QLD before we meet the others for the remaining 5 days home

They also do Rotopax that are a first aid kid, tool kits and water containers of all different sizes etc. Check the Adventure Moto site for more details or ring Steve at Adventure Moto for a price. Rotopax link at Adventure Moto

    Hope that helps Lotsa

Later I will show the bags fitted over the packs
