Well five of us started and five finished, so a good result :cheer:

We headed up Maculata, up the steel ramp and headed North to The Pines ;)

Some tracks were pretty slippery so we skipped Mesh Hill and pushed on North.

Ian was tiring so to preserve his energy we sent him ahead to bypass some more technical stuff ;)

We then headed round Green Bank Rd which was fun and being a faster track kept us cooler.

A sweet long single later and we’re at The Pines for lunch :)

We weren’t there more than two minutes and Pikey rolls in with a mate, unfortunately his mate had injured his wrist and ended their ride shorter than planned.

We singled to Prickly Ridge and then with the heat sapping our energy I suggested those that were tired head straight to Muirs, whilst Stu and I singled it there, to my surprise Gordo joined them as he had injured his ankle :(

A couple more singles then Lemon Tree to the cars.

We were delayed a bit by traffic as we had to negotiate our way past 23 Jeeps driven by Asians (nothing wrong with that, you just expect red necks  )

We made it to the lead Jeep stuck at the bog hole. It was the most tricked up one there so I guess the traffic jam trying to turn around 23 jeeps would have been similar to something from down town Hanoi

We motored back to the cars for a hard earned beer :woohoo:

Thanks Gordo for sweeping, put heaps of ice on your ankle, and to Ian, Brad and Stu for coming along and providing some funny moments :P

The only video of the day.

The lead Jeep of the 23 in the picture complete with an aerial cam hovering above

In Stu’s defence there was a log (which Ian moved) across the path at an awkward angle which gave a shit line at the two ruts. I only just made it, and it wasn’t pretty :P

It would have been a long day trying to turn all those jeeps around and then potentially getting hit with the storm on the way out. Lucky I gave them something to talk about after I was rolling around in the mud.

Perfect ride for a Sunday as I wasn’t completely stuffed today.

Thanks for putting it on Adam.

    Hi Adam,

    Thanks as usual
for a good day out. I was kept busy as sweep. The corner man system broke down a few times , leaving us waiting for a retrieval ;). Dust was not an issue and generally the riding flowed well. Thanks Brad Stu and Ian thanks for coming, hope you enjoyed the ride. It was hot but we seemed to survive. One thing about being sweep , you coming across people and bikes laying in the strangest places. some look a bit funny others just look like hard work.
My issue appears to have started with a throttle fouling the bark buster plastic. I applied throttle and the  :pinch: :pinch: The bike attacked. After the third time it stuck I worked it out
The ankle is OK but I did do a good job spraining it :S A week off the foot…

Coming back was fun and I did miss some singles  I was not looking forward to the bog hole  as falling off was not going to be fun let alone the recovery. :pinch:

Any way all good . Boots stayed on until I reached the front door and the bike had a hose down.
And Adam ,there is no video..

    Cheers Gordo
