Anyone know if anyone rents Safari tanks?

I’m not too keen on paying $600 for a tank I will probably only use once..

You will use it more then once, if not sell it when you get home anything you lose between call it rent   Makes sense to me :)

I take it since there were 25 views and only one response the answer is no.. :(

28 liter is too big and I wouldn’t use it again unless I went on another one of these trips.. I will have to have a close look at Boulders at the next meeting to see how bulky it is..

I fitted my 28 ltr Krusty and it honestly doesn’t feel much bigger than the standard shrouds and the reason i went big is I have the capacity but you don’t Have to fill it up!

Yeah mate… But $600???? I would rather spend $600 on a Damper which will be used every time I ride the bike.. Can’t do both… :(

You could ring the supplier and see if they have any factory second ones. They may have some with a scratchs on them or ones that just didn’t come out the right colour or something like that. It may save you a few dollars?

I would think that Boulder would ride with his 28 litre more then he doesnt Krusty. I have done a lot of rides with Boulder and he uses it a lot. A damper wont help push your bike when you have run out of fuel 120kms short of Camerons Corner will it
No one really knows what economy a DR will get in the sandy going but I dont reckon a 17 L will cut it and if something happens and we have to go an extra 120kms because a general store in the middle of no where is out of fuel. Some is good more is better and we aren’t punching single trails
