Thanks Krusty I had no idea they did that. I have seen those SM ones before not up close though but assumed they were just blinged up standard ones.

I think there was/is a mob in Cairns who were converting the M model to dirt and flogging them in TBAM etc. Not expensive from memory. No idea how they stack up to a ‘proper’ XR400 in the dirt though.

I think you have to look at the carby I think they did something too it? good choice of bike being red and all and the electric leg is a bonus on those cold winter mornings you can just press the magic button :) enjoy your new toy B)

Picked up my bike this morning from Teknik. Mark (Evil Rudy) came into work to make sure I was happy with the outcome (thanks Mark). I was thrilled what Teknik’s did and I haven’t even had the opportunity to ride it yet…. the thrill was to be able to get on the bike and be able to put my tippy toes down (considering my feet were 60mm off the ground when I first got it). The 21l tank is awesome and the workmanship was a standout. Funny enough guess who turned up on their Tenere….TB……. so got to chew some fat over what mod’s are next for the bike….next stop will be Adventure Moto for some panniers….. Steve has been warned!!!

I just can’t believe the weather is yuk and I can’t give it a whirl. So got to spend the day in the garage working on the CRF…. I was pleased with myself… did oil change and replaced rear & front brakes and only had to “phone a friend” once … thanks TB….. on quick question about the piston’s on front brake… Its raining so hard here at Hornsby I haven’t been able to get the bike off the trailer nor take a photo… but will post one soon.

The Tenere had to be dropped off as they have requested it for the week to strip the shock and forks. What has happened is we have worked on the setup on and off for a ywhile and its soooo good now that they want to measure all the shim stacks etc so the can replicate it for other Tenere riders

No problems with the phone a friend always happy to help, I am going to (yes I have been saying that for a while but I will) do some more DIY videos and brake pad changes will be high on the list. I was hoping others would throw in some of their DIY videos to help others
