    So after the widow maker bit me on friday arvo and scratched the F@#K out of my bike i would like to know what the best way of trying to remove scratches from the plastic to bring them up “as good as new” well i know that isn’t possiable but as close as i can so it looks pretty again would be nice.

    How scratched is it on a scale of 1 to mine?
    Rocky mountain has complete plastic kits for $120 (for a WR anyway)
    Ive found that chicks like the scratches but since you ride a DR thats probably not an issue 😆

    I got side panels for $35 but you could try the sanding method which I found too hard :D

    Ev , this won’t apply mate !!! Their isn’t sand paper coarse enough for your scratches !!! :D :D

    Wet & Dry trick works well if the scratches aren`t too deep, then polish ok ;)

    ha cory.
    razor blade to get the curly bits off.
    jif to get the dirt out of the deep gouges
    then i polish the plastics with a silicon spray. ;)

    next time mate.try and keep her of the rockface ay.. :pinch: :pinch:

    I’v used 00 steel wool with soap on 30 year old plastics. Brings them up pretty good still requires a bit of elbow grease.
