So today Champo I went to stage 2 with the pannier side braces and put an extra piece in as per the picture

    P3280050Small.jpg

It now keeps the pannier at a constant distance from the exhausts

I then fitted a new set of handle bars, they are of a blokes new WR250x left here when I fitted fat bars and bark busters etc to his bike

    P3280053Small.jpg

I had a leaking fork seal so I fitted one of the fork legs I got from the spare NX rolling chassis I got

    P3280054Small-1.jpg

And fitted a near new slightly more off road aggressive Bridgestone tyre (thanks Chris, yes he is still alive)

I know its a bit old now but did you see the NX in Saturdays Newcastle Herald – 12 months rego and all for $1800. I thought about it but last time a different coloured bike came into a blue shed I felt so dirty. The KLR thats in the shed now is only visiting.

i was was in the shed putting the original spec bash plate and tool box on. however, there is no bracket on my bike for the tool box to mount to.

could you have a look at yours and and tell me if it is and bolt on bracket or a welded on one.
i have had a look at the parts manual that i download of the internerd, and it looks like a welded braket. is so i will make something up
