not sure if thats a backward step or a sideway step is a banana better than a xr400?klx450 are fairly cheap and go hard like bruce said

    I think sideways..

DRZ 400 = XR 400 with a button ;) low services and heaps of fun,

ummm no Boony, you ridden both? DR has less ground clearance, doesnt steer as well as an xr and is heavier

This is all true BUT where it took him for ever to start the XR at the poker run, this way he could get an extra 10 years out of HIS right knee

ha ha   true but even Krusty now says that whole thing was operator error ;) He said instead of wasting all his energy on getting the bike pointed back up the hill, started and trying to take off from on the steep part he should of just turned around rolled down clutched it and started again like everyone did on the videos :P his words not mine ;)

    yes operator error……..

I have thought about the KLX450 Corey however would it survive a 2800 K trip to and from the corner as easily as a DRZ or XR? Out of all the long distance desert type rides I have read about.. I have never seen much of any other bikes than DR650, DRZ400, XRxxx and the likes..

How many cross country rides like the one we are doing in October have the various high compression 450’s done? I’m talking amateur not Race events.. How many tour companies offer these same bikes on their tours?

My choice in bike will be about all around functionality as well as cost.. Did the XR400 meet my criteria.. Yes it did.. However I want to try something new and I also want the magic button…

Hey Krusty what about a dr650 with a tank and suspension upgrade and all the other goodies you will need bashplate, barkbusters, I think the dr650 would be a good bike to set up for this type of ridding
