Get the shock back in the bike Jeffro?

    #236501

Yeh Nick, fitted it thursday night. i couldn’t get the ride and static heights right though, i set the ride at about 105 and that only gave about 5mm static. I took it for a good run on Saturday and was very happy with it though. It soaked up all the big hits beautifully, as I hit the first decent size step I braced for the usual jarring as the back wheel hit but it never came. I didn’t get caught on one obstacle all day, except for going over the bars when I grabbed too much front brake on big step down 200m from the cars at the end of the ride.
I will have another go at setting the heights again when I get a chance, it occurs to me that I didn’t back the clickers off when I did it before

You are a big unit, we might need a stiffer spring again! What did we put in it? a 6.4 ?!

I am not sure, You mentioned a 5.7 in the other thread and I was asked for my weight when I got there. The part number on the box is 20-085-64

How are you going with that shock Jeffro?

    Hi Nick,

The shock is pretty good but I haven’t been on it for a while now as I am working in Indonesia at the moment. The front end is still standard though which doesn’t really make for a balanced ride.
I will have to0 et that sorted when I finish over here but that wont be until late next year I think.
