Just went out and purchased my 7 just add boiling water meals. I also bought an air bed. Is anyone taking a pump, either foot or 12volt.

I have also sent the PM to all concerned regarding the Bridge details for Monday night at 8pm. Read it people, the details have changed.

    Gaz,
Wayne is taking a 12v blower for the air beds and I’m taking a small 12v tire compressor or maybe it should be the other way as he seems to have more use for a tyre pump 😆 😆

Thanks Mick, I’ve got a 12volt tyre pumped packed already.

Route is complete, I have sent a copy to Nick tonight. It will be a mystery tour for some at times and even early in the first day don’t panic we may seem to be going the wrong way but have a plan and want to ride a section ;)

Spent from sun up to sun down on my bike today.

    Fitted New

    Tyres
All wheel brgs and Cush drive brg
    New Cush rubbers
    Brake pads front and rear
    New gold chain
    New sprockets
    New tubes
    New grips
New head set brgs ( thanks Lefty for the vice, dremal and assistance )

I rewired all my electrical accessories, fitted my low front guard, found my radiator basically blocked externally, lubed the cables and unpacked the bike again.

Tomorrow I will change the oil and filter, double check everything and start on Deejays electrical accessories, chain, sprockets etc

Still the trailer wheel bearings to do as well :pinch:

Up with the sparrows this morning an it was raining cats and dogs, so off to the shed and load the bike!
I thought I would weight all my gear and see just how much weight the pig would have to carry!
    Right pannier = 7kg
    left pannier = 7kg
    Top bag = 6kg
    Food tube = 3kg
    water = 2kg
    spare fuel =4.5kg
    Back pac = 7.3 kg
    Bum bag =3.5kg
    Fuel in tank =29.7kg
Me =110kg All muscle too!!
    Total 180 kg
No wonder the frames take a hammering!!
Would be interested to know what some of you guys weight fully loaded??

  Your back pack weighs more than either of your panniers talk about weight of the world on your shoulders :P

When I went to Cape York in 2004 we weighed my XR600 rider and gear all in one hit on the scales at work and it was over a quarter of a tonne

No broken frames there Boulder ;) oh sorry yeah it was a Honda

Just found this morning my B&B bash plate is splitting along the left side weld

    TB

    #209942

    Hey there TB,
I don’t want to state the obvious there champ, but I will. As for your bash plate splitting along the LHS weld and after giving you a hand to lift the Tenere after a little incident. There is a bit of tonnage involved when it hits the ground eh! If you know what I mean………….

    Cheers,
    Left One
