So with a few hrs spare I ducked away to prerun a few ideas I have been having for a ride. Pretty soon I was having trouble deciding which single line to follow because crossing them was hard work
Considering Jnr had 11kms on him when we hit the beach he did ok and I would say is run in now
I didn’t even let the tyres down for a while. But getting up one dune proved somewhat troubling so I let them down as low as I dared and straight up we went.
So I explored a few tracks
Then the fuel light came on, I remembered I didn’t have my wallet and was dressed in a tee shirt, short and runners
I steered Jnr back towards the accommodation and was surprised that it sits on a dollar real easy

But that kind of terain needs herbs
And not the green kind. :pinch:
Sure you might be able to get through on a 250
But on past experience the more CC’s the better
Good job, TB for even going on a beach with a 250 4t
Just brings back memories of my good ole mate (IT 175) and me on a (IT 490)
No comparrison.
Cheers

December 28, 2013 at 8:28 am #252789Day 2
So today I had a few things to do before my prerunning. First I had to drop a Yamaha present off to the king
I then practiced my motard skills
I went down to PTWs and I fixed his loan Tenere. A small wiring job and we went prerunning around Bago
Randoms
In shorts and runners I decided not to get my feet wet here
Pete showed awesome skill getting the Tenere up a hill that I thought would be dodgy, he proved that speed is in fact your friend when in doubt
We then went to the pub with Moose and Toes for a few cooling ales before I headed back to tonight’s base camp
Pictures don’t to credit to how steep some of the tracks were
Great day out more tomorrow

December 28, 2013 at 9:15 pm #252805Was a good day, I haven’t been riding much of late as i was a DNF on the last two day, but even before that i hadn’t done a lot.
Thanks to TB for fixing my shit……………..again    I was so keen for a ride, even just a short arvo ride was exactly what i needed. Some good little trails in that area and a few hills to
nothing to serious but heaps of fun.
we did get to one trail and we weren’t sure what was like further on so TB rode up to the first section to see what it was like, he came back and said ” the level of that hill is above the level of protection that we are wearing ”  worthy of the top quotes thread. It was good to see Moose and Toes, and have a refreshing fizzy drink, i missed out on catching up with king but i will have to try to get around before i go home or i sense a beheading in the future
This is just before i was nearly taken out cause TB had picked his line and he wasn’t changing it for anyone
Top afternoon.

January 2, 2014 at 7:10 am #252806Went out yesterday for a run, found a wicked uphill and I guess by what I see here I can call it a single because there is a single line up it. Any how it was a fun little run, listen to Jnr rev like a 250 4 stroke should
Sorry it’s not in hi-def but don have wifi here at base camp central
