February 25, 2012 at 9:57 pm #216976Massive thanks to Mick for throwing a great weekend together at late notice and to Melissa for letting us overtake the house. Last night was so much fun and the riding was textbook Wauchope. I have some good video and a few stills that I will load up over the next few days.
Huge thanks also to Moose for cutting in the grass track and for getting us around Bago.STM
February 25, 2012 at 11:17 pm #216988What a pearla of a weekend! You know when u leave work at lunch on Friday with bike in tow it’s going to b a good one!
Thanks Mick for your second to none hospitality, it was unreal! Hope I get the chance to return the favour!
Thanks Moose for leading us through and up some great trails! A top mixture of ability testing singles and over grown twin! And of coarse the grass track, for a 5 minute run around the paddock it was a barrel of laughs and loads of fun! Watching the guys battling it out was just as good as riding the track!
Thanks to Spud for taking over the sweeping duties! Glad I could make u laugh with a few log crossings and hills!
Thanks TB for organizing the weekend with Mick and inviting me along with such a high calibre of guys riding! I guess u always need someone to give u a break while u wait on the corner!
And most of all, everyone for making it a great weekend!Dejay
February 25, 2012 at 11:46 pm #216992It was a cracker of a weekend :woohoo: A very special thanks to Mick and Melissa for their hospitality at Chateau Wauchope, it was awesome! Another special thanks to Moose for being the leader as the trails were awesome and challenging in places with the odd swim thrown in!! :pinch: And that grass track was so much fun, thanks Moose. Thanks to TB for organising the weekend, Spud and Dejay for their sweeping efforts and to Crash for giving me a hand up over that tree root on the last single.
The grass track that Moose cut in was awesome and we had some great dices on Saturday afternoon. :woohoo: Not that anyone was racing eh!Thanks again everyone!

February 26, 2012 at 10:01 am #217005Had a few characters turn up at my place Friday arvo looking for a drink and a ride.
AS I had a crook back, I was relegated to the sidelines and couldn’t ride, so I was able to have a few more drinks than normal and I was happy to handle the catering side of things. The shed shenanigans on both nights were gold, as usual there were more laughs than my gut muscles could handle. When the boys hit the grass track, I had a ball with the new Nikon cracking off a few shots of the “racing”.
Connor got in the thick of things on his YZ
There was no racing really.
A good shot of Lefty
The Gravy shot of Spud
Spud was the man to catch on the grass track.
As TB said, there was a bit of corner cutting going on
Here comes Lefty
There goes Lefty
Chicken, had the pig roaring
TB was getting a bit close for comfort. I am amazed his barkbuster didn’t hit my head!
Tripper was just happy to sit and watch the stupidity
The peanut gallery
Meanwhile back at the resort.
More pics to come later.
February 26, 2012 at 10:25 am #217011Spud was the bloke to catch because he is a machine and doesn’t stop  and yes was quick :pinch: He was the hardest to get past for sure, so smooth and consistent. I had to block pass him in the end
There was nothing between Crash and Spud as we all witnessed watching them lap after lap for what seemed like 12 laps. I was a credit to the skill of everyone involved that there were no accidents during the non racing, the speed carried through the slight left at the end of the straight with two bikes side by side or very close into the 1st gear right hander was entertaining, very fast and lots of commitment as we discussed out there. There were a couple of bars banged but it was all clean. Listening to the Hobbit laugh mid corner was gold. It saddens me to say Mick that no one passed me on the grass track but I passed everyone at one stage or another during the non racing  that would normally make my day so why does it sadden me you ask  That 530 was awesome there on the grass track
Not just on the straight, but it steered, stopped, turned in, the torque to short shift the double and triple apex corners, and the Teknik’s improved PDS rode the bumps so well, Lefty was saying after we diced at one stage that it was so settled over the rollers. The downer was the rekulse which doesn’t suit the grass track IMO. Crash loved it as well  I will do a complete write up later.Keep the pictures coming, love the corner cutting pictures

February 26, 2012 at 10:38 am #217013What about Rob400 and Deejay, they caught one another and banged bars
The yelling from the peanut gallery was funny, the advice the riders couldnt hear  Chicken on the ol 600 up the straight :woohoo:
Krams young bloke was awesome, so fast and a nice polite young kid credit to you and Penny
Thanks Moose and Kath the afternoon was awesome, oh and the swiming poolTB
February 26, 2012 at 11:35 am #217015Big thanks to TB for all the thought he put into this ride. The movie night was so much fun and watching the footage from the day added to the atmosphere and the heckling was gold!
As always when TB and Mick team up the bar gets lifted and once again it has.STM
