Sick of taking photos with my phone,it’s that crap i might aswell use a pumpkin

Anyone know anything about a small camera that can be attached with a sturdy case, waterproof, impact resistant…..basically Bollocks proof

Has to be fast to access, quick to shoot ( because too many old bulls get up off the ground too quickly) and have a bit of quality about it.

I might have to enquire to NASA for this bit of kit the way i treat my stuff :P

    cheers

    Here, here….

I took 29 photos yesterday with my phone and they were all crap (particularly one where you were on your back wheel Bol)

Either you guys were riding way too fast (likely), or, my phone just won’t take photos of moving objects.

Will be keeping an eye on this thread to see what gets recommended. B)

Price match them between the Pentax and the Lumix FT4. About 6 months ago TB was in the market for a new compact tough camera and I did a heap of research and the Lumix won out. It was so good I bought one too and love it.

Go the Lumix FT4 better long term reports and less warranty claims when I researched it.

I like the cool pix too they take some good ppictures, but dont get a camo one. Makes it that much harder to find the little bastard when you drop it. So far in my wasted youth I’ve lost a couple of mag-lights a camera and lighter none of em were cheap :pinch:

Also Olympus tough series are great upto 12MP now I think Ive had my brightly coloured one ;) now for 5 years and its still goin strong.

Tough choose bollocks. There are some good little “tough” cameras out there at the moment. My Nikon has been faultless for me and by reports the Panasonic also as good.

That being said something new has caught my attention. Olympus TG-2.

    http://www.olympus.com.au/Products/Stylus-Compact-Cameras/Tough/TG-2.aspx

With an aperture of F2 and shutter speed 1/2000 this will kill the others for sports shots and low light. Also much wider angle at 25mm (35mm equivalent) will be better for those arty landscape shots. Olympus all but invented this class of camera and have just upped the standard. I think the Nikon is about to hit eBay.

Still shits me none of them have full manual control. The first to do that will have my money.

    Sorry Boll
Couldn’t read through the whole post. :woohoo: :woohoo: B) :pinch:
But we (Tim and I) both own an Olympus underwatery job.
Says 10M on the cover, but I am sure I have free dived deeper than thirty feet with the camera.
    All is still good. :)
Trouble with it is, it needs a magnifying glass to read the settings
OR maybe I can’t see it?

Somebody, please turn back the clock :woohoo:  :pinch: ;)
