Very nice trails
Love how the bush changes from the start to mid way through on the first video.
Very good, thankyou
May 31, 2010 at 12:58 am #180462Great vids STM I take it you know that there is no one coming the other way how fast were you going it looks like you were really moving

Even if I did I doubt I would look down to see it through these sections
As for other bikes I always stop before these sections and listen out for any bike noises around me. I am lucky enough to have this place mostly to myself and in 18 months I have only seen a handful of other riders.
I take it a lot easier on the fire roads though as people have farms out there and use them as access roads.
I also touch a lot of wood!STM
May 31, 2010 at 1:38 am #180465I think you were doing easy 100ks in some of the straight sections as for on coming traffic you must be one lucky bugger to have all those tracks to yourself just keep it shiny side up

Mmm that’ll send you blind eventually…. so I’m told anyway.
It is really a beautiful forest you have there STM, a nice bit of wet native stuff and good topography as well

Cheers for the tip BC
It is beautiful and really varied. Here is a section of old grazing land with a trail that I call “Joe Blake” for obvious reasons.

May 31, 2010 at 3:13 am #180389I can’t take anymore!!
Housing cheap your way? How is the IT job prospects.. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
Dam good stuff
May 31, 2010 at 4:16 am #180471On the day after we rode with you Scotty on out most recent Coffs trip me, Mike and Tom hit up the ‘Road Runner’ and I overtook mike on that second creek crossing at the start blasting him with my bow wave, bloody funny!
We also rode ‘Tunnel Ball’ and ‘Joe Blake’ both ways. ‘Tunnel Ball’ is one of my favorite sections of track up your way, as good as the video is it’s not the same as riding it. There are some quick sections in that track considering how narrow it gets, I put some smack down to try and lose Mike and Tom on that section and remember thinking that if I wipeout it’s going to be very bad!!!
I’ll look forward to the day I’m back there riding again

You hauled arse down Tunnel Ball. You set the mark by getting under the log and away before the rest of us got to the log. I knew you were going to try to pull that one off but I had a good run so I thought it would be close but you did it. Imagine what the footage would have looked like from your helmet that day.
Similar to when Han Solo makes the jump to light speed :laugh:Can’t wait to see you and the family back again. Looks like you have yourself a nice vacation spot.

Last one. I promise
This trail gets real prickly through the lantana further down but I removed the helmet cam before this as it could get ripped off. That is why it gets it’s name “Itchy and Scratchy”

I did that because 1) It’s an awesome track and it was telling me to go fast and 2)you told me you went out with 2 dudes previously who had gotten off their bikes, under the log and had gone by the time you got to the log so the gauntlet had been laid down
Since I couldn’t leave after getting to the other side of the log (didn’t know which way to go at the fork in the track) I just took my helmet off instead and watched you all bundle round the corner!
Good times…..

Those two guys turned out to be riding instructors from Central QLD and also rode 300 KTM dingers.
My poor little Yami never stood a chance :laugh:STM

June 5, 2010 at 8:52 am #180488I went out today and filmed some more sections of my local.
This one I call “Straight Shot”. There are not many corners and it climbs the whole way.
Good Fun!!!
