Well I slept in this morning But that`s ok when you are riding solo
Headed over the hill to Freemans then decided on the fly to trek thru the boghole tracks (off BECKS RD)to the Mountainbike Park,,, Some of the holes are big, wide & flogged out by 4x4s now with deep rutted sections criscrossing all over the place, I reckon they are 10 feet wider than the last trip I had thru there, chicken tracks pushing wider just get full of mud & crap as well in here

Sorry, no camera with me so no pics but I had a couple of nervous moments just before entering a couple of them (being alone could have caused a problem)

I actually took a right that I should not have and ended up climbing up & up towards the ridge exploring the terrain before thinking I better turn around, there were no others out there today & I didn`t want to get stuck,,,,

Once out I ran up Mt Falk and on to the Pines, very quiet there today after last weeks flogging ,,,But a lot of cars on the roads up there today !!! And they all seemed to like the centre or my side of the many blind corners
After a quick rest I rolled down Watagan Creek towards Laguna and was surprised how good the trails were today, no dust, not wet, just nice and firm with a few opportunities to slide in some gravel buildup on corners if you wished :woohoo:

Once at the end of Watagan Creek Rd, I went left and up towards Yango Creek Rd, where I threw a right and flowed along thru the causeways to Wollombi,,, I love that piece of road thru there :) :)

Then it was a tarmac blitz to get home for a late lunch, no time for Finchley Trig or beyond today after my late start Sandy Ceek Rd is always fun anyway B)
As I walked in at home the smell of Bacon & Eggs filed the air , Great Timing :woohoo:

Still churned out a quick 200k in 3 and a bit hrs, realised how unbikefit I am after my recent flu bout and being off the tools at work the past month and a bit (I Pad is my only tool now) damn my hands were doing it tough in the trickier sections , not to mention the old butt on the Kato Plank

Need to get myself sorted before the TK Memorial ride to Walcha in a few weeks time ,,,,,

Good morning for it but what’s with no camera Eags. Surely you took a phone. All phones have some form of camera these days. My last report was done with my iPhone.

No excuses next time, we want pics!

I no what your talking about 4×4 track. With all the wet we had over winter it seems some trails have coped a flogging.

    Yeah, Sorry Scotty (Southy)
I never carry a camera mate,,
Usually use my phone for pics, but forgot it today  (No service for most of the area I covered as well)
I had the Spot tracker, but not able to take pics on that (there`s a trick for someone to work out)

I used to be into the old 4×4 scene, but stuffed if I know what fun they see in ripping the shit out of trails as soon as the wet weather hits !!!! They never recover, just get rougher when they dry out till the next wet, then they get wider and deeper !!! OR CLOSED DOWN FOR GOOD :pinch:

    Cheers
