Great day out in the bush. :woohoo:
Tim, Stuart (still on fire with his new bike, even after having a big off earlier in the week), Dickie, what a champion. B) Travels 3 hrs, rides 6 hrs, travels 3hrs back home. :woohoo: :woohoo: B) I hope the 6hrs on the bike made up for it, Man. :) and our illustrious sweep, DUDE B) B) B) :woohoo:
Anyway started from our house and hit the Arcadia singles, Tims new singles including the Gully 👿 :pinch: . Dude skipped that section and met us down the trail a bit.
Single tracks became a blur B) The log track had us working a bit.
More singles, over the rail line, and more singles.
Under the main Newy to Sydney rail line and yet more singles. 👿
Some open stuff to get the bikes breathing right.
Boring section to the base of our first real challenge, Amazon. 👿 B)
Stu went ahead and was surprised at the amount of traction the dry sandstone and a thumper can have. :pinch:
Its always a good call when one of the group admitts to a near miss, as did Stu, ending up almost losing his bike to the southern side of the track, if he had gone down there it would of taken hours to get him/bike out. (good job,Stu) B)
Dickie showed off his skills by getting through untouched.
Tim rode up stage 3 and then came back down to try another varient. :pinch: ;) ;) ;)
All made to the top and we did the adventure ride out the lookout.
Back via some singles, and transport to Boring house dam where we proceeded along a fast track down to a nice little up hill, which we wont name
Nice climb to the ridge, surprisingly not much lanatannnanananana
OK, I have made a start, will finish tomorrow, hopefully with some pics.
I do applaud Dickie, for travelling so far just to do half of a good ride. B)
    Cheers Dickie (can ride) :woohoo:
Welcome back when we do weekend ride, or anytime, Man. B) B) B)
    More tomorrow
    Cheers
    Murph

What a top day out, not sure what they call that drug that pumps through your veins after a day like that but bloody hell I’m on overdose.

Just flickering through the photos and found this one.

    Tame that beast Tim.

6hrs driving and 6hrs riding all in one day? Even I’m too old for that :)
Sounds like another fine Murph ride, well done lads.

    Some hills continued:-
Once back at the ridge we travelled north overtaking a couple of aventure riders then ducked into some more singles.
Tim and I had a swim at Boarding House Dam while the other Westies looked on. ;)
Back down the mountain via some short singles and off to Freemans for fuel and a feed.
Note to self. Do not order a subway footlong as it sits too heavy in your guts for the remainder of the ride. :(
Off into the Northside, where I gave the lead to Tim as I was feeling knackered (no exscuse, just old and unfit)
Many more singles on the return trip home
Did powerline hill and our last single back to Buttaba
Found out that Dickie lives next door to where my Dad lived so we probably had met sometime in the past B) B) B)
Fun day out, a bit too dusty and hot though
